Magic Reserves, Wednesday Afternoon, Preserve Near The Cabins

Today's selection of goodies from J, GoB did not include anything gooey (sorry, jelly-doughnut lovers!) The leaders of the Magic Reserve looked somewhat weary but everyone was in one piece with no bits gnawed or clawed off, so you could probably figure they came out of the weekend okay.

"Hey, everyone," Tony said. "We had a big attack this weekend, so we'll do the usual debriefing. How'd you fight these things? How'd you figure out their weaknesses? What worked? What didn't? What would you do differently next time?"

"Are there ways we can be more efficient?" Karla asked, after polishing off another donut. Look, she was hungry, okay? "Ways we can coordinate better? Get word out quicker? Any ideas about how to handle an enemy that uses similar tactics in the future?"

After the discussion, Tony spoke up again. "We're going to do a little trust-building exercise today, since we need to know we can rely on each other under fire. Trust falls. It's pretty simple. Pick a partner, face away from them and when they're ready, let yourself fall back, trusting them to catch you," he said. "Try to partner with someone you don't know very well," he suggested. "We're pretty good with trusting our friends, so let's branch out a little."

Alex snagged a snack and wondered how she'd missed out on the gremlin attacks over the weekend.

Raven was feeling better after the weekend. She was looking about for anyone who may have lingering injuries from the gremlins so that she could heal them.

Dinah had no injuries, but she was checking in with Raven. "Hey. How're you doing? Fully recovered and all?"

Diana arrived with a cat in her arms who was attempting to make a break for the food table. "I mean it, I'm not cleaning up after you." She informed him.

Jono was on the outskirts, as usual, with his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes narrowed a little. He didn't look as tired as he'd been earlier in the week, but it certainly looked as though he was refining his efforts to look as difficult to approach as possible.

The effect was lost a little on the turtleneck he was wearing under his leather jacket. He needed new bandages, damn it.

Difficult to approach never worked on Raven.

"Jono?" she said softly as she drifted to the outskirts of the meeting. "Are you well? Didi said that you had had a rough time...."

Tara took some cookies and leaned against a tree to watch the group. She remembered this exercise from last time; it might be interesting to do it again.

Oh, lovely. They were back to fairly inane trust exercises.

If you asked Arthur, there was no trust like the kind you earned fighting at someone's side. But he was professional enough not to speak up during the whole thing, and merely watched, as one did, from the sidelines.

That was about Francine's level of thought today. It was cold and she was sleepy because she'd just woken up from a haha I have no classes today nap, and... doooooooughnuts. Yes.

Dinah got in after class, still kind of amused by the ongoing movie-week theme, and nibbled the doughnuts while considering who she didn't know at the meeting.

"We have to have a better phone tree for when things go down," Tara said. "It -- it just seemed like there was a lot of confusion about where we could help the most. We probably could have warded the dorms to keep most of them out, if we'd acted fast."
