Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Tony had several pizzas and a few bomb bottles of soda out in the common room and was settled on the couch to watch the long-awaited new episode of Darkest Night. Tonight, they'd find out who survived last fall's cliffhanger episode! (Spoiler alert: Raymond Dark and James Taylor Grant totally survived.) Plus, they'd see Amanda Tapping guest star as a mysterious Victorian woman from Raymond's past.

Dinah was there, wriggling in excitement, and kept checking the clock to see how much time was left. "Waaaay too long since the last ep." She had a huge glass of Diet Coke and a piece of pizza she was happily nomming. "And have you talked to Lee since People came out?"

"Didn't you read all the spoilers?" Tony teased. "Yeah, we handwavily talked on Thursday and Saturday. Oh, and Sunday."

"But they could be wrong!" Dinah protested. "And awwwwww. Sweeeet." She grinned. "You guys are single-handedly keeping Skype going, aren't you."

Long-awaited was right. Which was why Firekeeper and Blind Seer padded in to the common room and found a spot on the floor, leaning up against one of the couches.

"Finally!" she commented. Apparently hellos were passe, now.

Tony grinned. "Hi Firekeeper. Been looking forward to this?"

"Some," Firekeeper said, attempting to school her expression into one of indifference. And mostly failing.

Dinah leaned over to scritch Blind Seer immediately, and grinned at Firekeeper. "New ep! New monsters! New shirtless James Taylor Grant moments!" Which was a little weird to glee about when his actor was dating Tony, but Dinah was determined to rise above.

Of course, it was highly unlikely Firekeeper would be doing any gleeing. Instead, the comment just earned Dinah a fondly-exasperated type of eyeroll. Humans were so strange in their preoccupations with things like clothing or lack of it.

She snagged a few pieces of pizza, though. "So much waiting. I hope is as good as spoilers say!"

"That's a really big dog," Puck observed, looking mildly alarmed. He'd never seen a wolf in person, so he was inclined to go Shepherd-mix on Blind Seer, mostly out of ignorance and a strong desire to believe he wasn't going to be watching TV with a wolf.

"No dog," Firekeeper explained, surprisingly patiently given the number of times she went over this every time she met someone new. "Wolf." An unusually large wolf, but a wolf, thank you very much.

"What up, wizard dude," Puck greeted, wandering in through the kitchen to get something to drink. It was a testament to his adjustment that he wasn't even being sarcastic or snide with that remark. "What're we watching?"

"Darkest Night," Tony said. "Vampire detective show. Ever heard of it?"

"Nope!" Puck said cheerfully. "Is it any good?"

Dinah waved to the new guy curiously, her mouth full of pizza, and pointed to the pies already on the table, making an encouraging noise that could be interpreted as, "Want some?"

"You're sharing?" Puck interpreted. Which, even if it hadn't been the case, was the interpretation he was going to go with, because he wanted pizza.

So okay, it had been a while, but Francine wasn't going to miss the season premiere. Puhlease. Plus? Praise Jesus, she did not have chocolate spots which meant she could visit a common room without hiding her face or feeling guilty about maybe spreading them depending on how exactly that had worked which she wasn't going to think about so yay pizza and James Taylor Grant.

And cookies. Come on, like she wouldn't bring those. Oatmeal though, thank you very much.

"Hey, guys!"

"Ooh, hi cookies!" Tony said. "Er. Hi Francine!"

"Oh, I see, it's like that." Francine nodded. "Hi, pizza!"

"Only guys?" Firekeeper said, in a teasing tone. She was well aware of how the slang word worked, by now.

"Yes." Francine nodded solemnly. "Hi, Blind Seer! No hi for you."

"Franciiiiine!" Dinah grinned and waved a piece of pizza at her. "Look look look! Old fashion and fangs! And James' shirt is torn!"

"I approve of all of the above," Francine said, wandering over with a slice of pizza and her container of cookies, to plop down beside Dinah. She looked over at her friend though, instead of the tv. "Hey, you did the dunk tank last weekend too, right?"

"Ooooh, show I have no idea what it is," Jennifer said, entering the common room. "Nice to see you again, MVP."

"Hey!" Tony said. "It's Darkest Night, a Canadian-made vampire detective show."

Jennifer made a little face at the mention of vampires, but she shook it off and smiled. "So they suck your blood after they find your missing child, eh?" she said, in the worst Canadian accent impression ever.
