Fourth Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

She'd been debating taking an evening off for a while, and when she happened to wander into the common room, turn the TV on, and discover a women's hockey game on during the Olympics coverage, that pretty much sealed the deal for Kennedy.

Because there were women skating around with sticks, in padding, and that was pretty freaking hot. Also, awesome. In light of that, what else was there to do but order in a couple of pizzas and sides of buffalo wings, camp out on the couch, and enjoy the game?

Seriously.

She could go out later. After this game was over.

Since his own floor was quiet, Jonas climbed up one floor and found his excursion triumphant when he found someone in this common room. Of course, he didn't recognize what was on television but he didn't care.

"Hello," he said, padding in, eyes flicking from the food, to the television and back to the girl. "Are you expecting to be up late? Or having a party?"

That was a lot of food, after all.

"Oh, hey. You have food in a common room, people tend to want some," Kennedy said after a moment, once she'd peeled herself away from the action onscreen. "Might as well make sure I have enough for me after that, so hey, help yourself."

She waved a hand at the totally moddable topping pizza boxes. "It can totally be a party, sure. I have no problem with that."

"My roommate introduced me to pizza so I might try that," he said, glancing at it. "I'm Jonas. I don't know if we've met but that's probably because I live a floor down. It's just quiet there tonight."

Tara came up for pizza and time with her girlfriend, and she had a book to bury her head in if the action on the ice got boring or too violent or whatever.

... look, she had never claimed to be even vaguely athletic. But supportive, she could do.

"Which teams are playing tonight, honey?"

It was women's hockey; body-checking was illegal, which took a certain level of violence out of the game to begin with, and if you asked Kennedy that was kind of lame.

"Canada and Switzerland," she said, scooting over to make room beside her for Tara. "I can already tell you Canada's going to take this one, but that doesn't make it less fun."

"So you like it even if it's a blow-out?" Tara asked, intrigued, as she took the indicated seat. "You're, uh, probably going to have to explain a lot to me. I'm so not a sports person. Like, at all."

"Hello," Jonas said, greeting Tara with a brief wave. "I have no idea what's happening on the television but it appears fast paced."

It was an informative greeting, at least.

"And I think they're trying to get the puck in the net?" Tara said. The way she said it, it might have actually been a question. "It sounds like we're coming from about the same place."

Where went hockey, so went Bobby Drake.

Dressed, of course, in the various bits and bobs of Olympic paraphernalia that he'd picked up during the impromptu locker-trip to Vancouver a few weeks back.

"Hockey and food? Kennedy, I think I love you. Don't tell Tara."

Kennedy snorted in amusement, both at what Bobby had to say and the way he was decked out. "Might be too late for that, Boy Scout. Like you had a chance to begin with? God, what the hell are you wearing?"

"Shut up, it's festive," he stuck his tongue out at her before grabbing a slice of pizza.

Ooh, hockey. George was so there. He had to learn more anyway for the team.

"Kennedy! I didn' know ye were likin' th'hockey," he said, coming in. "Who're th'lads playing t'day?"

He also was wearing the Olympic paraphnalia he'd picked up. Especially the light blue touque.

"Canada and Switzerland, and please. Those aren't guys out there. Like I'd care about that?" Kennedy glanced from George to Bobby, and laughed. "I'm feeling a little left out of the gear here, now. Where'd you guys pick that stuff up?"

"They're lasses?" he asked instantly, looking at the screen with curiosity. "I wasn't knowin' th'lasses did play." He grinned up at Kennedy. "We did end up in Vancouver. Tis a real place, y'know."

Dru wandered out in search of food. "Olympic fever?" she asked when she saw what was on the TV.

"Yo, Dru." Kennedy waved a hand at her. "More like girls who can kick your ass while skating are hot fever, but close enough. If that's not your thing, have some pizza."

"I'm indifferent to the sports," Dru admitted. "But the pizza and I could probably have a passionate short term relationship."

"Hockey!" Bobby crowed. "Even if we know who's gonna win, pretty much. It's still awesome to watch, because man, these girls can skate."

Oh. Bobby. The first guy that had ever sent her flowers. Huh.

"Who's playing?" Dru asked. "And who's going to win? Andthanksfortheflowerstheywerenice." Yeah, she just slipped that in there all casual like.

"Hi roomie," Hayley greeted, waving. "It's the Olympics already?"

"Apparently," Dru replied. "There's hockey. But I'm more about the pizza at the moment."

This wasn't exactly Chuck's floor but, whatever, he was bored and there was nobody doing anything where he actually lived.

"Do they allow fighting in Olympics hockey?" He might watch it in that case.

"I don't think they do," Kennedy said thoughtfully around a mouthful of pizza. "I haven't seen one yet. Like I pay attention to the rules?"

Hayley wandered in, and was instantly enraptured by the action on the TV.

"Wait... those aren't guys!" she said, a little surprised.

"Duh," Kennedy drawled, apparently convinced anyone who saw her watching sports should already know that. "What are you, new?"
