4th Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening
Chloe was sitting on one of the couches, flipping through the channels of the TV to see if there was anything interesting on. She was skipping over anything that looked romantic because, well, come on. Being single didn't mean she was in the mood to watch chick flicks.
What she was really trying to find was anything that was fantastical or had lots of explosions. That would keep her attention, really. Then again, so would anything with comic book heroes or pirates. Pirates would be fun.

... It wasn't her floor now, but really, she doubted anyone would say couldn't be on her former floor.

Hearing someone else that had the same problem she did relaxed her enough to respond shyly.
"N-nothing that I've found. Maybe you c-can try?"
no subject
Which, Hinata would say was impossible, but it was Fandom. If the televisions were in that sort of mood who was she to say that it couldn't happen?

"So much is about romance," she sighed. "It's very repetitive for the most."
... Said the girl who'd been crushing on the same totally oblivious boy for five years now. Yes.

We will not talk about Derek right now."I just don't understand why everything has to be about that," said the fifteen year old who hid all Valentine's Day.

"Th-That's it exactly," Hinata agreed, bobbing her head. "There's just so... much talk about it." Not just talk, mind, but... "It's wearying when you'd rather have a different subject."
And yet. Look what they were talking about.

The irony of this conversation was lost.

Clearly, not including what they'd already said. That didn't count.

"I favour stories and shows wh-where the emphasis is on the hero's struggles to improve himself. Wh-What do you prefer?"

Talking to Hinata was nice and Chloe was relaxing, as was shown by her stutter starting to fade.

"That," she confessed, "and that sort of ch-character is easy to like, I find. How can you get attached to characters if they aren't likable on some levels?"
It was her tastes, of course, she was well aware that some people enjoyed their (to her eyes) unlikable ones just fine.

"And that what they are striving for is something that can be understood."

She plopped down into a chair and sighed.
"Nothin' good on?"

She fidgeted a little in her seat.

She curled her legs up under her. "That was no fun at all."
