kappa kappa gremlin meeting | pool | after classes | friday | march 12

The members of the frat had been handwavily informed to meet down at the pool today. As always, there was a table set up well away from the water with snacks and drinks (wait thirty minutes after eating to jump in, guys!). Hannibal, standing there in a swimsuit, looked pleased with himself.

"Today, we're swimming." It was on his mind, go figure. "With summer coming, we thought it'd be best to get you all ready by throwing you in the water and getting some exercise. If you don't know how to swim, stick to the shallow end. If you do, go wild. Don't kill each other or anything like that. This is just to get you in the summer frame of mind while getting you some leisurely, or aggressive if that's your thing, exercise."

Arthur had unabashedly red swimtrunks.

It was worth mentioning. He was a Pendragon, he could rock the red.

"For those of you who are more sportsmanlike," Arthur continued, "the pool has the faculties for laps as well. If any of you are interested in a competition of some sort, let us know and we'll arrange it." Of course he would get competitive. It was how he rolled.

"That's all we have," Hannibal said, nodding. "Now, get into the pool! There'll be no suntanning here. Into the pool or you'll get tossed in."

Hannibal would do that too. That was how he rolled.

Mat had learned to swim years ago in the Waterwood, and had no problem getting into the water (or getting shirtless, let's be honest).

The skin on his chest, arms, and back were lightly scarred from different attacks he hadn't been quite fast enough to dodge, but he was alive and those who had inflicted the injuries were not, so he wasn't overly bothered by those scars.

The one around his neck was a different story, and so he was also wearing a black scarf as his swam.

It was quite a look.

Yes, swimming was nice. Good exercise, and all that. Arthur had no particular reservations about his own scars - up to and including the large, deadly-looking one on his shoulder - and took to the water with great abandon.

Much of Illyria's existence had been spent swimming through water or something like it. This body was different, more likely to move through it like a knife than like a creature that lived there, but the pool, which she had not yet visited, still pleased her.

The armor's usefulness did, as well, melting slowly away to something that more or less resembled a dark red tank suit. Yes, the blue went all the way down.

Warren was going to get into the water. Really. Warren was totally planning on getting into the water.

Any minute now, he'd get into the water.

Okay. He was going to stand by the snack table, with his wings folded at his back, trying to will himself up to the point where he could get into the water. Not because he was afraid of swimming or anything, no.

More because he wasn't keen on the idea of looking like a drowned chicken in front of the guys once his wings got soggy.

Chuck could swim (he did grow up in California), but generally didn't.

And for now, he was perched on the side dangling his feet in and considering actually getting in. In a minute.

Eventually.

Arthur was there in his Pendragon reds, looking rather proud about it all.

And getting in some very athletic swimming, thank you. He was getting his energy up for his talk with Morgana later.

Yes, he did look good without a shirt, even if there was some very very light bruising on his face.
