The Roof, late-ish Saturday night

Dinah had called Priestly when she got in, then zonked out in Jaime's room, and woken up to give him another call, to meet her on the roof as planned. "We should have a toast. A specific one." She grinned. "'Survived another year?'"

Priestly slouched next to her with a bottle of the hardest liquor he could find. "Another year. That's a freaking miracle in this town."

"It is!" Dinah had only been able to scrounge up two plastic champagne glasses, with the kinds of stems that came apart, but hey. Still fun. "And only two months to go 'til Graduation. Less!" She held out one glass. "Booze me."

"I think so? Yay Moscow," Dinah said, taking another sip, then a gulp. It went down easier if she didn't try to taste it. "So did I miss anything crucial since Wednesday? Anything social, political, or crimefighty?"

"Hooo yeah." Dinah held her shot in her dinky champagne glass for a second, running down what happened since Wednesday in her head. "Snarky semi-vampires, confused werewolves, brain-sucking snakes, and really evil creepy supervampire at the end." She tossed off another mouthful of vodka. Gulp. "And a loooooot of snow. Evil snow."
