Fifth Floor Common Room; Wednesday Night
It was late, but Elle wasn't tired. Therefore?
Common room!
Since it was late and there weren't likely to be an uber lot of people roaming the fifth floor common room, Elle had laid claim to the most comfortable couch in the room. Hey, she showed up first. It was her priority, dammit.
Unfortunately, this late at night, the only thing on was infomercials. Lots of them. Most of them confusing to the girl who was displaced in time by a decade.
[Open as common rooms are!]

She loomed over the end of the couch where Elle was situated. "I have a very important question for you."
no subject
Well, that kind of question was important, wasn't it? Also, probably not the question in... well, question.
Elle grinned. "Seriously, though, what's up?"

She giggled and got down on one knee.
"Will you go to Prom with me?"

Okay, there were the tears.
"I'd love to," she said, sniffling.

Unicorn tears, Hayley thought. That's how she'd think of them for a long time to come.

She frowned thoughtfully. "Or we could just both wear the same color!"
