Front Lawn, Saturday morning

Prom had been awesome, and Dinah didn't have a hangover, so she'd woken up early and headed out for her morning run, then ended up on the lawn, going through katas instead of in the gym. Too nice a day to stay inside!

Funny, there were other people who'd agree.

Sin and Lian had decided that the castle was a good place to start looking for whatever had brought them here. Supervillains lived in castles, right?

Sin spotted Dinah first, and headed for her at a dead run. "Sister! Sister! You're here!"

Give her a minute. She'd catch the differences in a second.

"CANARY! CANARY!" Lian was right behind her, and speeding up. She hit Dinah's legs with a tackle-hug at the same instant her cousin did.

"Aaaack!" Dinah tumbled down as two cute missiles hit her from out of nowhere, and then grinned as she blinked up from the grass. "Hi?"

Six, maybe seven years old? Amerasian, and Asian, and wait, which one had been saying-- "Sister?!"

"Sister," Sin said patiently, shaking her head. "You let us take you down! That is not good. You need to practice more." She peered at Dinah and said uncertainly, "You look different."

"You do!" Lian leaned closer, and giggled. "Did you go for a dip in the Lazarus Pit? Again?" Not that Lian knew what that meant. But she'd heard her Daddy talking about that, once, about why Canary was younger than Grandpa. "Aunt Dinah, get up. Stop being silly. We want breakfast!"

"...ohhhh, boy. Prom. It's the day after Prom." Dinah sat up, giving the little girls curious looks, and starting to grin. "You guys surprised me. Did you get here through a portal?"

It helped that neither one had called her 'Mommy' yet. Yup.

"Yes!" Sin's eyes widened, and she grabbed Dinah's arm, urgent. "We both did! Lian was at home, and I was at the Clocktower, but it found both of us! What is this place? There are many other children in the park too."

"This is Fandom High School, in Maryland, and, uh. I'm still in high school. I graduate in a few weeks," Dinah said, giving them both anxious looks. "So I don't know you yet? I'm sorry."

"Ohhhhh." Lian had heard about this kind of thing. "Time travel! We time traveled! Yaaaay!" She beamed at Dinah and asked, "Is Daddy here too?" Because Aunt Dinah looked really young, and a bit different, so maybe Daddy could be here too?

"That depends on who your Daddy is," Dinah said cautiously, as she reached out to smooth Sin's hair back, since the little girl was looking troubled. "Hey," she said, her voice softening. "Don't worry. I'll look out for you, even if this is the first time I've met you."

Sin's worry melted in a big smile. "You always do." She hugged Dinah and said, "I do not have a father. Or a mother. But you are my sister, and we are family."

"Daddy is Roy Harper. And you're Canary. And Aunt Dinah. Even though you're not Daddy's sister. And you were dating grandpa," Lian said patiently. "You know." She gave Dinah what was supposed to be a meaningful look, then dissolved into giggles.

Dinah's brain was so far not breaking. Not yet. Spraining. But not breaking.

"...wow, is he going to be surprised to see you." Dinah slowly grinned. "We should go find your Daddy." She reached out to give Sin a hug, and tugged on Lian's hair. "And then breakfast!"
