Front Lawn, Saturday morning
Prom had been awesome, and Dinah didn't have a hangover, so she'd woken up early and headed out for her morning run, then ended up on the lawn, going through katas instead of in the gym. Too nice a day to stay inside!

"You think I'll drop your daughter?"

"Well, okay, no," he had to admit. She did seem to move unnaturally fast, though. That was a little worrying. "I trust you," he said sincerely.

"We won't be up for long," Warren assured him, and then nodded down at Aurore. "I can take you up," he offered. "But you have to promise me that you'll stay still for Mononc Warren, okay? Cross your heart?"

"Alright then," he said, reaching down to pick her up. "Hang on tightly, okay?"

He gave her a lopsided grin, and then he crouched down low for a moment. When he straightened up again, it was with one heck of a flap, and up, up, up they went.
"Don't forget to say 'whee,' okay?"
no subject
The 'whee' was totally important and essential and clearly not in danger of being forgotten.

In any case, Aurore's 'whee' was being accompanied by his own, 'whooo,' and now Warren was going to fly just a little bit faster, just because he could.
