Dorm lawn [early afternoon]

Juliet was happily sticking her foot into her mouth on a blanket as Anakin and her (younger, at least theoretically) brother Christopher raced around on the lawn. The little boy squealed loudly as Anakin caught him and tossed him into the air, using the Force to make him hover for a moment.

"Again!"

"Say please," Anakin replied.

"Peas!"

"Close enough."

And being on campus meant that Anakin had put his lightsaber into the weapons locker. And he won't kill people in front of his kids! Come play Jedi tag!

Anakin set the little boy down, who raced off with a giggle.

"Hello," he said, smiling. "You're not one of Ben's, are you?"

The red hair made him wary.

"Who's Ben?" Sean asked, panting, which probably answered that question. "'m Sean. Does that boy have superpowers? He was flying! Flying!" Just in case Anakin missed that.

"Ben's my grandson," Anakin said with a grin. "He has hair just like yours. And Christopher--that's my little boy--" still strange to say, "he was just playing with a little help from me."

He crouched down to get on Sean's level. "Would you like to fly too?"

Sean glanced over and saw Mommy smiling at him, so he turned back to the nice man and said, "Yes! Is it magic? Is it a superduperspecial secret weapon? Please!" he remembered at the last second. "Please!"

"It's called the Force," Anakin said, "and it's not exactly magic, but it is very special. Do you know how to hold your arms out like an airplane?"

Sean's arms immediately zinged out to his sides, eyes huge and hopeful. "Yes! See? I can do it! I'm like a 'plane!"

"What kind of plane?" Anakin asked. "I need to know so I know how high to make you fly."

"Jet plane! No no superhero plane! Batman plane!" Sean beamed at Anakin, arms still out as he bounced in place. "Like Superman! Way high! Way!"

Yeah, no guesses where he gets that from.

"Up you go, then," Anakin said with a laugh, reaching into the Force. "Don't forget the airplane noises!"

He'd have to stop saying "eeeee!" in a minute, and when he did, Sean bbbbbrrrrbbrrrrbbb!'d with the best of them in between, "Look at me! Look at me I'm high! Way high up!" He wanted to stay here forever!

After a bit of time, Anakin called up, "Ready to come down yet, flying man?"

"Okay!" Mommy always said you had to take turns, and it was maybe someone else's now. Sean flapped his arms and waited for the nice Flying Man to put him down, grinning big.

And down he came. "There you go," Anakin said.

"Thank you mister!" Sean beamed and him, and bounced in place a little. "That was way awesome. What's your name?"

"I'm Master Skywalker," he said.

Sean stopped bouncing for a second, eyes wide. "Are you Leia's daddy?" Oooo!

"I am," Anakin said. "I'm also Juliet and Christopher's daddy. And Luke's, but he's a big boy and isn't here."

Sean nodded hard, even though he hadn't met any of those other kids, and said, "I asked Leia if she could be my girlfriend but she said I had to ask you!" And then, "So I'm asking!"

Anakin's eyebrows shot up. "You want to date Leia?"

"She's pretty. And smart! I want her to be my girlfriend." Just like every other little girl in pre-school. "I'll share my cookies with her, and we can go to the playground!"

"Will she get to pick the cookies first?" Anakin asked.

Sean paused, then said, "I'll bring lots and lots so she gets a lot to choose!" And there would be chocolate chip leftover for him too!

"I think this sounds very reasonable," Anakin said solemnly. "Are you okay with dating an older woman?"

"Uh-hunh!" Sean said very seriously. "'Cause they're smarter. And better. And she can drive us to the movies maybe!"

Anakin's lips quirked up. "Maybe. But if you make her sad, I'm going to be unhappy, okay?"
