Dorm lawn [early afternoon]

Juliet was happily sticking her foot into her mouth on a blanket as Anakin and her (younger, at least theoretically) brother Christopher raced around on the lawn. The little boy squealed loudly as Anakin caught him and tossed him into the air, using the Force to make him hover for a moment.

"Again!"

"Say please," Anakin replied.

"Peas!"

"Close enough."

And being on campus meant that Anakin had put his lightsaber into the weapons locker. And he won't kill people in front of his kids! Come play Jedi tag!

"Hello, Cassa," Raven said, crouching down to be at a level with the girl. "Your mother has told me about your father, and I wish I had met him. I am very fond of Tahiri and Ben and Professor Skywalker." Obviously so, since she'd named the spawn of satan after him. Or maybe that wasn't such a good indication.

She glanced up at Tahiri, wishing she could ease her sorrow, but knowing to ask would be met with refusal. So instead she sent a gentle wave of comfort to her friend.

"You'd have liked him," Cassa told her with the confidence of a girl who would never have believed anyone could possibly dislike her father -- no question where she got that from.

From a few steps behind Cassa, Tahiri smiled at Raven in silent reassurance that she'd be all right.

"I'm glad you like my great-grandfather, too. And Uncle Ben. Aunt Jaina's astral too."

"I do not know Jaina as well," Raven said. "But I am certain you are right. And I have met your grandmother once, too. I healed her when she was hurt."

Tahiri laughed. "Do you heal everybody who gets hurt?" To Cassa she added, "She's like that."

"Maybe it'll rub off on him," Cassa said under her breath, looking at Anakin-who-wasn't-related.

"You know I would if I could," Raven said, smiling as she straightened herself again. "But some people do not want me to heal them."

She glanced down at Cassa. "If it has not by now, I do not know if it will," she said fretfully.

Tahiri grinned sheepishly. "You understand now why I didn't want you to at first, though, so I hope you forgive me for that. As for other people . . . they're just stupidly stubborn."

"Yeah," Cassa piped up. "Sometimes --" she glanced not so subtly, and very pointedly, at Anakin-not-her-dad-or-great-grandfather -- "it takes a little longer to sink in."
