6th Floor Kitchen, Monday Morningish
Lily was not allowed to use the stove without an adult who was not Uncle Merlin present.
She supposssssed that the oven counted as part of the stove.
Putting stuff in mixing bowls and pans to make brownies and cookies and cakes and pies, though? No rules about that. You fools. As long as they got a grown-up to come turn on the oven when everything was ready.
'They' being any kids, kind of related to her or otherwise, who showed up in response to her signs:

[OOC: Open, mostly for kiddles, but if an adult wants to come and drag someone away or be otherwise unhelpful, t'is acceptable! Any magic in these baked goods will be of the actual kind and consist of... generally making them inedible, and/or making the sprinkles dance.]

Now there was a recognisable shriek.
"Are you cooking?!"

Sort of. There were eggs and sugar and flour in a bowl. Possibly not in exactly the right proportions, but it tasted good.

Now there was an incident never to talk about again.

"COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKIES! There's gonna be cookies?" he howled, skidding to a stop halfway into the room.
...that would be why.

'cause if there was a chance stuff might catch on fire, then he could be super-helpful!

Well, in the case of the scowling little blonde
monstergirl stomping up the stairs and into the common room, it was half of that, at least. Did you really think any power in the world was going to make wee!Morgana be cheerful, especially in the morning?"Mom's up on the roof smoking an' wouldn't let me come with," she announced, slouching into a chair with her arms crossed and a wee incendiary glare.

"Who wants to do that? Come make cookies. I got chocolate and banana chips!"
The banana chips would probably not do as well in the cookies as she was imagining.
no subject
"Mom wants to. HOW COME I CAN'T?" Morgana demanded. Wee and cranky she might be, but cookies still had plenty of allure.
"Banana chips don't go in COOKIES, Lily."
You know. If the cookies were up to her standards.

Lily hugged her bowl to her. "They taste yummy. Yummy things go in cookies. The end!"

She wasn't sure that Lily was big enough to be a good cook, but it was okay. Sometimes little kids just had to play with the batter. As long as Rosemary got to eat a handful or ten of chocolate chips, she'd be happy,

"Yes!" She clapped, which unfortunately spattered dough all down the front of the fridge, but that's what cleanup-time was for. "Cookies and maybe brownies and pie and cake." She was starting with cookies, though.
no subject
If she wasn't chocolate chips were likely to find their way in anyhow.

(And if all the time meant when Tara's hands were covered in something messy and she was standing six feet away, it counted by Rosemary's lights.)
She marched over to the stove. "Do you know what temperature it has to be, Des?"

"Hi!"

Okay, step one. Lily started looking for the string. Hmm. No string.
"Are you a prince? Did a bad wiz'rd change you to a froggie?"
