Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Katchoo being shorter than Francine wasn't new; Katchoo being this much shorter than Francine was.

Also not new: Francine feeding people, where for the time being the term 'people' encompassed her tiny four-year-old roommate-slash-girlfriend, currently plunked down three feet in front of the TV and flipping through the channels because nobody wanted her anywhere near the food preparation. That remote control might get thrown sometime soon.

Why?

"STUPID GOLF! I WANNA WATCH SOMETHING ELSE!"

Because of that.

This could get messy, and that was even before the food.

"... The other up arrow, sweetie." Ow. "Or you could bring it here and I'll change it for you." Sneaky way to get her to move back from rots-your-eyes distance to the tv? Yes.

If she brought it over, it was a prime opportunity to glomp Francine's shin, so Katchoo took it. Well, a one-armed glomp anyway, since the other arm, the one with the remote, was held up very helpfully.

"Francie, 'm huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuungry," Katchoo complained. You know, in case she hadn't said it enough already.

"It'll be ready pretty soon!" Francine assured her. "Spaghetti is fast." She reached for the remote and thumbed the volume down, first. "What do you want to watch?"

Could she blame him? That would be fun. Only not as much fun from a distance.

"Okay," Katchoo said with a big, big, far too big for her tiny self sigh. "Is there garlic bread too?"
