Fifth Floor Common Room [midafternoon]

Puck had initially been happy to have his workshops only at the end of the week, but by Wednesday, he was bored. He'd worked out. He'd touched up his mohawk. He'd even tried calling everyone he knew back in Lima (some of them more than once, but Santana said Cheerios practice was too busy for her to have phone sex with him.)

So, he was lounged in front of the television, watching a documentary. If it hadn't been about video games, he would have already fallen asleep. As it was, he was only being kept awake by the sheer power of that guy's douchiness.

[omg I just saw that movie and it is insane. open like a CR!]

"Hullo, Puck," said Bod, wandering in casually, a box of crackers in one hand. He'd gotten a little addicted to them. "What are you watching tonight?"

"There's enough material about video games to make documentaries about them?" questioned Bod, sliding into a seat where he could see the television.

"Which is?" Bod prompted. "I'm not all that familiar with video games. We didn't have any of the consoles where I grew up."

"Goodness, what happened to your head?" Rilla gaped as she walked into the room with cupcakes decorated in class.

"I was worried that you were recovering from a head wound," Rilla said, examining his hair more closely. "My father shaves part of the head before conducting surgery."

Tim had tried to clean off the glitter (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/1906424.html?thread=165064696#t165064696) he'd been hit with at the Magic Reserves meeting, but the damn stuff seemed to multiply. He finally gave up, resigned to sparkling for the time being.

He flopped down on a seat in the common room and watched the movie. "That's a lot of dedication to a video game," he said.

"There was a glitter incident," Tim sighed. He ran a hand through his hair, giving him a sparkly aura until the glitter settled down again. "Hi, I'm Tim."

"Always watching the weird shit when I find you," Effy commented, sticking in the doorway a moment as she tapped her cigarettes idly against her palm. Fifth floor common room just so happened to be on the route down from her favourite rooftop smokers hangout. Worked out nicely.

[identity profile] pastmewrong.livejournal.com 2010-05-13 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well, good was rather subjective, and Effy looked skeptical as she moved a little closer.

... And then there was the name thing, which she made a face at. "That makes you sound like my dad." One of very few people who actually used her real name.

Ellie noticed Puck in the common room as she wandered past. A good reason to stop by, in her opinion. "Hey. What are you watching?"

[identity profile] awesomebigsis.livejournal.com 2010-05-12 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"Huh. I'll have to let my brother know about this one," Ellie replied, wandering further into the common room.

Peter was entirely on the wrong floor, but he'd gotten bored himself with no classes during the day.

The TV sounds were what lured him in. After a moment he commented. "I'm not sure whether these men are amazing, or really sad. I'm starting to lean towards both."

[identity profile] theotherpeter.livejournal.com 2010-05-13 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
"Good point," Peter said. "And really, if we have chess champions, I'd actually argue this is at least... half as prestigious."
