4th Floor CR, Saturday Evening
Christian had just gone into the common room to make himself a cheese sandwich, which was about the extent of his cooking skills. He would have gotten the snack and left had it not been for the ... thing sitting on the couch; he would have assumed it was a toy, except the island was so very odd, and the thing kept humming at him tunelessly in a very not-toy-like way.
"Oh, er," he said, with a wave of one hand. "Hello? Did you ... need anything?"
And that was when the Furby went crazy. Christian covered his ears and approached what he was now desperately hoping was a toy cautiously, prodding at it with a forefinger. He was afraid that anything he did to turn it off would only make things worse.
[OOC: Open common room!]

He was already headed for it. With one hand on the handle, he asked -- "I'm assuming it's not alive. Is it?"

"What," Firekeeper pointed at the object making the offending noise, "is that?" she demanded as she entered the room.
