Shooting Range [Monday afternoon]

Triela wasn't stressed out. The Conditioning made that something that took a lot of work, but she was feeling... antsy. Like she needed to do something but there was nothing to do. The Agency hadn't called her for an active mission in months, and they hadn't even sent new (ridiculous) wardrobe instructions in a while. All in all, it was aggravating.

So Triela was at the range. The simple process of shooting always helped focus her, and that was definitely a good thing. It served as a useful distraction. And it'd keep her sharp. Because she'd get a mission eventually.

Triela nodded thoughtfully. "Turn around," she suggested. It would help to get an idea of the lines of Momoko's body and usual clothes.

Having a friend who was a fashion student meant Momoko recognized the intent behind the phrase and she did a slow turn. Not that she understood why it would be necessary for this. She glanced down at her outfit - a light blouse and totally cute skirt - and wondered what it would tell Triela.

Triela stepped forward and reached down to tug the hem of Momoko's skirt up a bit.

"Eh?" Momoko backed up quickly, running her hand down, flattening her skirt. "Triela?!"

Momoko got an impatient glance. "I'm trying to figure out how the skirt lies against your legs." She had a couple of different thigh holsters, and she suspected a small one might work.

"Oh... You should have said!" Momoko frowned and stepped back. "It's pretty, right? I can totally take you to the shop and see if they have it in your size!"

"It's nice," Triela said in an absent tone, not really noticing the shopping offer. She flipped the hem up and tugged on it a bit, then nodded. "You could wear a thigh holster with this. The compact is small enough that you could wear it pretty high up, too."

"So, like, it would be on my leg?" Well, she had worn the belt under her blouse before.

"Yes. You could use either a garter belt sort of rig, or just a tight elastic one." Triela had both in her closet.

Momoko had no idea what either was like. "Which one is best? I mean, for like dances and stuff?"

"Belts are more secure since they won't let the holster slip down your leg, but they can be harder to hide depending on what you're wearing." She drew an invisible line with her finger around her waist. "You'll need to wear something that will keep the belt from being obvious."

Momoko frowned. "So I'd have to pick all my clothes based on which one I choose? How's that different from just choosing ones that match my belt now?"

Triela rolled her eyes. "First of all, more things go with a belt designed to go inside a skirt or pair of pants. You just can't wear anything that sweeps too low on the hips. Second, no one said you can't have both types and pick the holster to match your ensemble for the day."

"Ah! I didn't think about that! I'm so used to just having the one belt. So I should get more than one type? Like jewelry! Or shoes!"

"Exactly." Triela shook her head in amusement. "I probably have a dozen or two different types of holsters."

Momoko stared. And then remembered that it was Triela and laughed. "And I bet you're totally wearing more than one right now, right?"

Triela just smiled a tiny bit.

Then her expression grew a bit more serious. "Actually, most of the time, carrying more than one is a bad idea. More chances that someone will spot that your armed that way. And if you need more than one gun, well..." Things were way too messy.

Things were already messy if she needed to transform.

"Ha! I knew you were!" She grinned at her friend. "Luckily I only have the one compact, so I don't have to worry about that. And if they find it, it's totally just a cell phone for anyone but me."

"There you go, then."

"If you want to come by my room sometime and try some stuff out, let me know. Like I said, I've got a dozen or two, so we can probably figure out precisely what works for you."

Eeek! Hopefully the shoulder holster was positioned snugly, because there was a Momoko bouncing up into Triela's personal space for a hug. "Thank you! I totally knew you'd be able to help! Thank you, thank you! I totally owe you for this!"

Triela hugged Momoko back firmly (which was not the same thing as tightly). "Glad I could help," she responded in all seriousness.

Was totally the same thing.

Momoko grinned at her. "Oooh! Hey! Don't suppose I could borrow one of your guns? It's totally been forever since I did anything with a gun besides get knocked out with one! My formation is probably all scatter again."

"You can always borrow one of my guns," Triela assured Momoko.

Well, at least as long as Triela was around to supervise. Just in case.
