Fourth Floor Common Room | Sunday Evening | 6/27/2010

Hayley had been bored. So incredibly bored. While she was a little worried about not having a job or a class to TA, she wasn't concentrating on that right now.

Right now she was laying on a common room couch, watching a movie that was utterly horrifying her.

It was supposedly about Elvis. But Elvis was definitely not like she remembered him.

She couldn't even eat any of the popcorn she made. She was that horrified.

"Like hitting people with crowbars," Hayley said, completely casual. It wasn't a flippant remark, just something she'd learned to accept about herself.

"Though it sounds like someone might have been getting friendly with her boyfriend, huh?"

Hayley nodded. "He must be pretty hard to kiss, right?" she said. "But he always did seem all... tall, dark, and handsome."

"Like Elvis?" Didi teased. Time had softened her; she wasn't jealous about other girls and Jono as much as she had been in the fall.

"Yeah, except he doesn't move his hips as much," Hayley said. "He actually kinda reminds me of Roy. Erm, not the Roy here, I mean. But my old boyfriend. The same kind of... swagger, you know?"

Hayley shook her head. "No, Gotham born and raised. He had a leather jacket and a motorcycle, and he could make you get all warm inside just with a look."

"Oh, he's under the care of the GCPD Comissioner," Hayley said. "Probably getting trained to be a great cop some day. I just ain't ever gonna see him, since I'm never going back to Gotham, you know?"
