It felt like it'd been way too long since Alex had visited the roof. With the heat being down some, it meant he wouldn't feel uncomfortable and sticky either which was good. As soon as he was through the roof doors, he was already pulling out a cigarette and lighting it, enjoying the warm sun on his face and letting some tension seep out of his shoulders.

This past weekend had done wonders to help his mood after Father's Day but he was pretty sure he'd be feeling that for awhile. Still, he felt better than he had and that called for some sprawling on the roof's ledge. He settled down on his back, feet crossed at the ankle and cigarette stuck between his lips.

Maybe he'd even get a tan or something. Or maybe he'd fall asleep and burn. Either one was fine with him.
