5th Floor Common Room, Tuesday Late Morning/Early Afternoon

Raven didn't have any classes on Tuesdays now, and since 'Dite still hadn't contacted her to speak in person about what had happened, she wasn't going into work, either. Earlier that morning she'd been woken up by strong feelings of love and calm and traced them to their source, though she regretfully had to refuse the offer the stone seemed to be making.

So for now she had to completely distract herself from thoughts of her mother so that she didn't start to inadvertently daydream about her. Said distraction was currently taking place in the form of browsing the web on her laptop and looking for new pictures from the episodes of Rumor Gal currently being filmed. Thank Azar Charlie was still alive!

"It is as if it never was," Raven said proudly. "It just ceases to be."

"Wow. Handy talent to have," Hannibal said, impressed. "Me? I'd just give the other person a bandaid and hope for the best. I shouldn't be a healer."

"Your gifts lay elsewhere," Raven said. "Not everyone is meant to be a healer, but I hope you never have real need of one."

"Don't worry, I've curbed my fistfights as of late," Hannibal assured her, laughing. "You and Angela have the same feelings about that one."

"Have you written a poem for Angela yet?" Raven teased, remembering their previous conversation.

Laughing, Hannibal shook his head. "I got caught up with a few other things that I needed to do first. Now that I'm there, I should be free to write poetry...at some point."

"What could possibly be more important than expressing your feelings in verse?" Raven said.

"Talking about the future," he said and winced. "We don't talk well about stuff like that but we had to get it out of the way."

"I hope the talk went well," Raven said, concerned. "Were you able to make any decisions." Then she caught herself and frowned. "I am sorry, I do not mean to pry."

"It went about as good as can be expected," he said, waving off her apology. "We made a decision. We'll see how it works, I guess, after we both leave."

"Then I hope it works out well for you both," Raven said. "When will you be returning home?"

"When this semester ends," he said and made a face. "Not that I wanna. I'd rather stay here and just hang out but I know I can't do that. Sucks for me."

"I am grateful I will not have to make any decisions about such things myself for two more years," Raven said. She didn't exactly have a home to return to anymore unless Karla truly intended to make her part of her Court.

"Oh, you have lotsa time," he said, nodding at that. "Enjoy it, man. Go swimming naked to celebrate."

All right, he'd said that just to make her blush.

She did blush at that, since she was terribly predictable. "Perhaps if I were alone," she said, ducking her head.

"Don't you have a boyfriend?" Hannibal asked. "Do it with him! It's romantic."

"I do," Raven said, "but I do not think our relationship has progressed that far." They hadn't gone any further than snuggling a little and kissing, after all.

"Well, for the future, think about it," he teased. "If not with him, it's fun alone too. Pretty freeing and refreshing."

"Is this something you have often done in the past?" Raven said, amused.

"Not here just because I've been doing other things but yeah, lots of times," he said, nodding. "Back home, we'd find a lake or a pool or something and do that. When it gets really freaking hot, it's really nice."

"That would be a welcome diversion from the heat," Raven mused. Then she added with a smile, "Though I have grown accustomed to air conditioning and am loathe to leave it sometimes."

"Air conditioning is a really great invention," he agreed with a laugh. "I don't think I could survive here. I like the heat and all but not that much. Sometimes, I just wanna veg in the cool air."

"The heat and the snow were both difficult to adjust to," Raven said. "The weather in Azarath is magically created, so we did not have such extremes. The variety has its appeal, however."

"Found some weather pattern that you really like?" Hannibal asked curiously. "I've always been a fan of warm rain, really. Rain that you can walk outside in and get wet but the warmth makes you dry shortly thereafter."

"I like autumn the best," Raven said. "The colors are especially lovely."

The goth girl liked fall the best. Try to contain your shock.
