2nd Floor Common Room, Monday Night
After a difficult morning and an afternoon of fruitless wandering, Karla was more than ready to come back to the dorm and do something silly and mindless. Teevee sounded like an excellent plan for that, assuming she could find something decent on. Half the time she was watching, she could only find those stupid shows where people on stage cried and argued with family members about sex all the time.
Clicking one of the buttons that made it change, Karla flipped channels until she found something she recognized: a baseball game. Since Darkest Night wasn't returning to the air, Karla'd run out of reasons to throw popcorn at the screen. This was perfect!
After making a few calls to potential interested parties, Karla settled back down to watch the game. And if anyone asked, she'd tell them she'd specifically burned the popcorn to make it better to throw, dammit.

sounding much like her ignorant mun in chatpeering into the bag with delight. And trying not to squeal 'Yay! Present!' like the spoiled five year old she totally wasn't. By virtue of being sixteen now, anyway. She reached inside and pulled out a long shirt in blue and gray. "Wha--?" she asked, before seeing the logo on the front. "A Knight's jersey!" she said, delighted. "Eee! Awesome!" She held it up, grinning, and then reached over to hug Tim. "This is wonderful, thank you!"

The best part about the second floor common room? It was just down the hall from her own room.
A few minutes later, Karla was back and wearing the jersey. Tim--wise male that he was--had gone with what was probably a super-extra-really large, and so the jersey hung down almost to Karla's knees. She beamed at him. "I could totally pass for a player, right?"

Yep. Totally not five. Really.
Karla was wearing an over-sized Knight's jersey, her hair pulled back in a high ponytail. "Look what Tim got me during his last visit to Gotham!"

Look, it was a really plausible story, okay?! To prove it, she reached her hand into the bowl and tossed some. "Boo! Bad--" She peered at the screen. "--American League."
Apparently she was rooting for the National League. Good to know.

So he got her to wear a shirt he gave her, hmmm? HMMM.

Funny how Karla could make up symbolism like that on the spot and still be SO OBLIVIOUS to everything else.

"Point taken. Oooo, helloooo, second baseman," Dinah crooned at the screen. "Hit me a homer, honey. Pleeeease?" She almost ate some of the popcorn, then caught herself in time.
no subject
"Wait, is the second baseman going to hit the homer?" Karla asked. She'd spent more time insulting the eight year old than learning the rules at the Gotham game. "Does he get a bat, too?"
no subject
"Three outs, and they switch positions again... and the GK second baseman is a hottie. Hit it hit it hit it ohhh did you see that?! NO HITTING HIM WITH THE BALL, STUPID PITCHER!"
