Jaime walked into the salle only a couple of minutes late. He was smiling easily right up until he saw Dinah. And froze.

Give him a second. He needed some time to stare.

Dinah was still going through her drill, then decided to do the Skywalker spin Zayne had taught her, spinning and slashing and catching a glimpse of Jaime as she whirled. Whoops.

"Hi!" She said, trying to look blase' and not at all as if she'd been goofing off, and almost fallen over. "Hey."

Oh, staring. Yay!

"Hey?"

That wasn't supposed to be a question, Jaime.

"Hello?" Dinah offered, a giggle in her voice as she stalked over. The boots weren't new, but with the very short flowing skirt, it wasn't a look she'd tried before. Plus the bodice. She stopped in front of Jaime and beamed at him. "You ready to learn something new today, hmm?"

"Nothing I didn't already know," Jaime decided with a short chuckle.

Hot, he mouthed really obviously.

Heee. Dinah grinned and reached over to poke at his arm, sapphire bracelet firmly in place. "Oh, I'm gonna teach you," she teased, and held out the practice sword. "And make you work for the view."

"Are we about to get all hot and sweaty?" Jaime shot back with a smirk and a ridiculous waggle of his eyebrows.

"Depends on your endurance," Dinah teased, TK'ing another practice sword to herself. Swish-slash! "Think you can keep up?"

"You've provided a pretty good incentive."

"Besides, I'm in great shape." Jaime did some, if we're being honest, unimpressive flexing.

Dinah squinched her eyes up to keep the giggling internal this time, and grinned. "You so are. Let's see if you wind up begging for mercy after this." She leaned closer, tapping her sword against his. "Not that you'll get it," she whispered.

"You'll be eating those words soon enough," he taunted as he hefted his practice blade.

No she wouldn't.

Amused, Dinah took up a guard position, and nodded at him to do the same. "C'mon, D'Artagnan. Do I want I do." She grinned, going through a basic 1-2-3-4 drill, low cut, middle slash, high block, step. "Like that."

Jaime tried to follow her motions. He even did an okay job. He'd done some fight training, after all.

But never with swords, and it showed.

Hmmmm. Dinah circled him, then put her sword down, and said, "Okay. Extend your arm. Like this," and tugged his arm out straight. "Then down..." And carefully crossed it over in front of him. "Then up." Leaning over his shoulder, she pressed against his back and directed his arm in an upward slash. "Like that," she whispered in his ear.

"I got the first part, but then I got distracted..." Jaime turned ever so slightly toward Dinah. "Can you go over that again?"

Dinah snickered, and rested her chin on his shoulder. "Eyes forward, Mr. Reyes." Then she reached out to move his arm again-- with telekinesis, her arms around his waist. "Low." Down slow, pressure on his hand. "Middle." Across, and her fingers tightened on his hips. "High." And hugged him lingeringly, then stepped away, looking demure. Well, as demure as she could, dressed up like a ninja-corsair. "Got it?"

"I have no idea what you just said," Jaime teased.

Actually, he'd managed to pay enough attention to know what he was supposed to do, but it hadn't been easy to do.

Breaking into giggles, Dinah picked up her own sword again. "Ohhhh, is that how you're playing?" She reached out to tap his over heart with her sword, and said, "Mirror my movements, and tap the edge of my sword. Then we'll see about me showing you more movies."

"Yes, ma'am," Jaime said with mock-stiffness. He even threw in one of those duelist salutes they did in the movies.

"En guarde." Dinah tapped the outside of his sword, each side, waiting for him to respond, and then moved her sword downward, doing the same back. It was hard to do at speed, but a good way to get into the exercise when done slowly.

And she'd save the chest-heaving if it looked like Jaime was getting cocky.

Jaime kept things simple, just trying to mirror her slow, careful movements. No need to get fancy or cocky.

Yet.

"Watch your elbow," Dinah said, an echo of Arthur in her own ears. "Down further. And keep the sword closer to your body..." She corrected her own stance, then started to speed up, eyes sparkling as she bit her lip, gleefully watching Jaime, waiting for an opening to tap him. "Faster."

"Faster already?" Jaime griped. "I'm just barely getting the hang of it slow."

Still, he followed instructions as best he could.

"You're going to have to lift more weights," Dinah half-teased, shifting speeds easily. "Build up those muscles. Swordfighting's hard work." She took one step closer, then two, so they were tapping swords from less than an arm-length away. "I could spot you, if you do."

"Weights..." Jaime made a face as his form faltered a bit at the sudden closeness. "I'm not really the... weightlifting sort."
