The Deck [Tuesday, Afternoon]
Effy definitely still wasn't going to be going out of her way to be sociable. Like she ever did. But she was at least out on the deck, ignoring her problems in public with a bottle of water, rather that privately with a bottle of something stronger.
Something that got said to her must've stuck. At least for now.
Looking a little better than she had been, if still not well, she was stretched out on a lounger, headphones in, preoccupied in watching the clouds since there was quite a few of them spread across the sky today. Didn't have any workshops until tomorrow. So, relaxing. Or trying to. Not finding it particularly easy, and she needed all of that she could get at the moment, she really did.
[[Open deck, relatively sane Effy.]]

This one looked particularly...bitey, but that rarely stopped Faith from doing anything.
"Don't tell me", said as she stopped next to Effy, head cocked up to look at the sky. "That one looks like a giraffe...with wings." It actually did, and Faith was sure she hadn't spiked her drinks lately.

"Wings sounds nicer."
no subject
"Nicer, sure; claws are way more badass, and not as overrated."

"Hear feathers are a right pain when you molt." Thanks Warren, for that little tidbit.

Faith spared an inquisitive glance at the girl for a second. She knew there was a winged dude somewhere on the island. "Sucks to have wings then?"

"Not mine either; too easy to aim and shoot at a couple of big, shiny wings." Without mentioning they molted, which sounded way too gross for her tastes.
"What would you choose then?"
no subject
She cocked her head at Faith. "You?"
no subject
"Actually, invisibility is a pretty good choice." She had wished to be invisible one too many times after all. "For all the fighting, it would be nice to fade in the background sometimes eh?"

"Miracles, right?"

She fiddled idly with her iPod, winding the headphone wire around her fingers. "Not my idea of a weekend break."

"Chainsaw," she repeated instead, glancing across at him. Well that sounded... macho. "Can't believe I missed that. Least you've got a bright side."

It took a couple more before she yanked herself firmly back into the present with an inhaled breath. "Didn't even get a neat chainsaw." Not that she'd have been much good with one anyway. Still trying not to think of that weekend at all, as much as she could help it. "How shit is that?"

"So. Like to think I'm that already." Not everyone agreed. The few people who really knew her, anyway.
