Hannibal had been putting this off for months now. Considering he had just forty eight hours left on the island, it seemed that his time of hedging and procrastinating had come to an end. When he made bets, he filled them even if it took him time.

So, he'd move some of the furniture aside and out of the way all while wearing a thick bathrobe. Yes, he was wearing spandex pants under that bathrobe and no, he wasn't going to show that off until he absolutely had to. Kate was just lucky he hadn't tried to find a loophole.

There was a boombox nearby, queued up with the most ridiculous song known to man. In a few minutes, he'd have to click play and actually dance.

He was going to dance. In spandex. To a girly song. He hated his life and yet, he'd keep making bets. Stupid bowling game.

[Oh god, this is so open. I'ma put up some OCD just for my benefit but this is SO open. Not Hannibal's last post in Fandom, btw!]

"I'm probably going up to New York," he said, dropping that line of questioning. "You can come visit, we can show the city how awesome we are."

"I fucked up most of my last visit to New York," she replied with a quirk of a wry smile. "So I would love that. We'll kick that city's ass."

"Good," he said and squeezed her hand. "I hope you like that film because you will never seem e do that again."

"Glad I could satisfy," he said proudly. "I am awesome like that."

"I don't back down from bets, no matter how ridiculous," he said, shrugging. "I made my bed and I slept in it."

"It already did!" Hannibal pointed out. "Did you not just see me dancing?"

Kate rolled her eyes. "I meant in a more serious way. This is not serious, as much damage as it probably did to your dignity."

"Yeah, next time? I'm gonna find out if I'm about to be hustled," Hannibal said, smirking at her.

"You were not hustled, babe," she snorted. "I told you I was good at bowling, and I was good at bowling. You were just a cocky dumbass."

"I know. I just wanted you to admit it," he said and shrugged shamelessly.

"Think you've already made me admit it before," she pointed out, resisting another eyeroll. "Also, I don't think I was that close to you when you lost the bet."

"Yeah, but we grew closer," he said, unaffected by her almost but not quite eyeroll. "And I get to be sentimental, okay?"

"It's a good thing you're not the boss of me, then," Hannibal said and stuck his tongue out at her.

Kate snorted. "I will so miss your maturity."

"Oh, it takes one to know one, babe," he said and smiled. "Don't even try to play that you're not immature too."

Not really, and she knew it too. Almost painfully, after this week.

"More mature than you, anyway."

"I will give you that you might be more mature than me but you are not mature by any stretch of the imagination," he remarked. "Not even close."
