Proto had an actual cookbook out. He was staring at it dubiously, and with a mild expression of confusion, but he had it out, dang it! Of course he didn't recognize a number of ingredients listed on the page he had open, and he wasn't entirely clear on how one properly 'sautéed' things, but he was going to try.

Though... any help would probably be appreciated.

"You'll do fine," she replied, utterly confident in that fact. "It just takes practice like everything else, right? So, you feed me, and I'll tell you when it tastes best!"

"I suppose I can't turn down an offer like that, now can I?" Proto grinned over at her. "Not if I know what's good for me."

"Now all I have to do is get a clue, huh?"

"Or two or three," she teased. "Think you can get our classmates to help out?"

"I've actually managed to get a couple of pointers." Whereby he meant that fellow classmates may have done most of the work already.

"So what is this?" Makita tried to take the cookbook from him. "Meat?"

"Beef, yeah. Something call tenderloin?" Proto slid the book over so that she could see the recipe (http://www.grouprecipes.com/45645/tenderloin-with-sauteed-mushrooms.html).

"Sau-tea?" she asked, trying to sound it out. "It sounds tasty, anyway."

"That's what I said," Proto shrugged. "Apparently it's like frying. And uses lots of butter."
