Proto had an actual cookbook out. He was staring at it dubiously, and with a mild expression of confusion, but he had it out, dang it! Of course he didn't recognize a number of ingredients listed on the page he had open, and he wasn't entirely clear on how one properly 'sautéed' things, but he was going to try.

Though... any help would probably be appreciated.

Maki waved at her roommate. "There were things with wings at work yesterday," she informed Jenny. "They sparkled and bit me, so I squashed them."

"They weren't customers, right?"

"Well, if they were, they certainly weren't going to buy anything after you squashed them," Jenny said. At least she wasn't giving things away like Ariel, she supposed.

"They did bite me first," Makita pointed out. "It's not like I went on a rampage just because they glittered."

Some days, glittering was almost enough to drive Jenny to violence. Hangovers could be cruel. "I suppose we can call it self-defense," she decided.

"Awesome. I made sure to clean-up afterward," she said, relieved. "But they were mean! And had sharp teeth!"

"Aw, poor baby," Jenny said dryly. "Glad you cleaned up, though. I was there earlier and it looked good."
