"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"

Robin's tiny body could not contain his joy, so, acceptance letter clutched in one flipper, he had gone tearing from his room, down the stairs into the rec room, where he had to pause to catch his breath.

"*gasp*IgotinIgotinIgotinIgotin!!"

It wasn't a strange question really. Aside from his uncle Kermit, very few in his family had much educational aspirations beyond high school. They were mostly content to stay in the swamp.

"Well," he said, trying to organize his thoughts, "I think a higher education, especially in music and theater will really help me in my career. I want to be a performer. And I also want to see the world, which I think would be easier with the programs they have at MAPA."

"Wrong," Peter said, snapping his fingers. "Well, the career part, you're probably right. But seeing the world is something you do instead of college."

"Really?" Well Uncle Kermit never went over seas until long after he graduated from University of Maryland.

"You want to travel and see the world, you just do it," Peter said. "College is just part of the system that wants you not to live your life."

"You don't see any value in higher education?"

[theotherpeter.livejournal.com]

"There's not much you can learn in a college that you can't learn outside of one," Peter said. "Unless you're going to be a doctor or a nuclear physicist."

"What do you want to do after high school?"

"I'm going to do whatever I feel like," Peter said. "I'm not limiting myself to one goal or option, here."

"Okay but if you were going to see the world, where do you think you might go first?"

"Right now?" Peter said. "Thanks to coming here, I'm not sure I should limit myself just to this world."

Now why hadn't Robin thought of that? He'd been to other planets, why hadn't it occurred to him to try to see even more?

Now that he thought about it, he wondered if animals, or in particular Muppet Animals would be able to cross the border into Faerie.

"Ooooooohhh!" Robin said, his mind awash in the possibilities.

Peter wasn't sure how to react to that. So he shrugged. "So yeah, we'll see what happens. I've got time. And I don't need to do anything that requires major planning."
