Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday morning

The fall trip didn't start until tomorrow, but Bruce was already completely packed. Honestly, he was probably packed too early and too effectively because, ahem, he found himself having nothing to occupy his time after he finished his morning exercises. This left him in the undesirable position of trying to find something to take up some of his time in the common room. He turned the TV on for the benefit of anyone else who might come in since he had learned that it didn't like him and wouldn't be showing anything he might actually want to watch.

Bruce managed to find a puzzle, flipped all the pieces over, and tried to see if he could put it together without the benefit of a colorful picture to help him. Meanwhile, the TV was stuck on ABC Family, which was showing some cheerleader movies. It's not that he had a problem with cheerleaders, he just had no desire to watch movies about them. Oh well. He'd survived greater tragedies than this.

[OOC: Around until about 11 AM Central, then slow throughout the day. But I'm bored right now, so CR.]
wrongkindofsith: (Pretty sure you're insane)

For her part, Cara didn't exactly have a lot to pack and force of habit meant most of it lived in her pack to begin with.

"Bruce," she said with a nod, before tilting her head to one side as she eyed the television. "Those are very short skirts." Not that she was complaining, exactly.
wrongkindofsith: (Your mouth moves and nonsense comes out)

"So that's cheerleading." That jumping and shouting made slightly more sense when performed by humans instead of drunken squirrels. Slightly. "Not that I'm one to complain about half-naked women, but what's the point?"
wrongkindofsith: (I'm a viking!)

[personal profile] wrongkindofsith 2010-10-09 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Given she came from a place which didn't have much by way of organised sports, at least half of that went flying right over Cara's head.

"That requires them jump around in their undergarments?" Again, not that she was complaining.
wrongkindofsith: (...in step five I kill you)

Cara smirked. "So they wear more nowadays?"

Unlike everyone else Maladicta didn't pack yet. But that was only because there wasn't much to pack. Other than the bags of coffee.

This Vail place might not have any. You never knew!

Whiiiich would be why she was wondering into the common room and pausing to watch the strange bouncing women. "What are you watching?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"...That little club has moving pictures about what they do?" That was disturbing.

And why were they attempting to fight/dance now?

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Only a little bit, Bruce. Only a little.

"If that's dancing, I don't think I'll be going to any of the events here," Maladicta said, nodding toward what could only be described as a man having a violent, vaguely dance-like seizure in the general direction of the small blonde main character.

Maladicta just hummed, taking a seat on one of the couches. "At least there are some saving graces for this."

Mini-skirts were one of the interesting things about this place.

"Good morning, Bruce," Faramir greeted. His attention was drawn towards the television and it remained there as there were girls dancing in skirts. Very, very short skirts. Dancing. In short skirts.

"What are they doing?"

No, Gondor did not have miniskirts. Nor did they have cheerleaders.

[identity profile] thinkbetterofme.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"It appears like they might hurt someone," Faramir remarked. The movements were rather strange, but the skirts remained... short.

[identity profile] thinkbetterofme.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"They must train for this?" he found himself unable to look away from the strange dancing. "What uses does it have this leading cheer?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"Faramir," Maladicta said with a nod from her spot on the couch. Of course she was watching this movie. She only watched horrible movies.

[identity profile] thinkbetterofme.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"My lady," he had not noticed her until now, and there was the slightly hint of surprise in his voice before he recovered himself.

"Good morning. Are you enjoying the movie?"

There was no reason why he should feel like she'd just caught him with sneaking into his father's personal library.

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
None at all!

"I'm not actually certain there's a plot," Maladicta informed him as though this was a secret. "But it's not horrible."

Yes it was.

[identity profile] thinkbetterofme.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 04:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's..." he considered the screen once more as he tried to think of an adequate word. "Intriguing, perhaps. I have no had time yet to follow the story."

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2010-10-09 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Maladicta followed his gaze back over to the screen. "Yes, I can see the distraction there."

Stop sounding so amused about that, Maladicta.
