The Salle [Early Thursday afternoon]
Jaime had agreed to give a little dance lesson today, so there he was, at the Salle, portable music all ready to go. This would be a good time to run through things in his head, figure out exactly how he wanted to do this. That would be helpful considering that the last time he'd done this it had been with his girlfriend and the dance lesson might have kind of devolved into a making-out session.
Which didn't strike him as appropriate for today.
At all.
So, yes, he should have been going over plans, but he wasn't. Instead he was kind of flailing about the fact that Homecoming was coming up. And he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. Asking someone to go with him was traditional, of course, but... well...
It was complicated.
[Expecting one, but totally open.]

No, he hadn't been distracted. What gave you that idea?

She was annoying that way.

Well, mostly.
"But not anymore. You ready to get started?"

So. Basics.
"This is one of the more energetic ones." Jaime shot Raven an easy smile. "It's about having fun, maybe showing off a little, getting your heartrate up. You know?"
Actually, he wasn't sure she did...

"Yeah. It is. That's a good way to look at it."

"I'm good to go if you are!"

"Of course," Raven said with a reassuring smile. "Tell me what you wish me to do."
[Sorry, fell asleep there. :) ]

[Sleep helps you not be sick, so I'll allow it.]

Yeah. He wasn't counting the fourth beat.
Or moving on it. He probably should have explained that.
