The Roof [Wednesday evening]
Katniss was aware that tomorrow was some sort of holiday, and while she was fuzzy on the details of its origin, what mattered was the fact that she knew it had to do with feasting.
Needless to say, she was looking forward to it.
However, Wednesday evening found her restless. It was too cold (and soon, too dark) to stay out in the woods -- even if she had been inclined, the animals themselves were tucking themselves away into warmer locations. So she took to the roof after stowing her bow and arrow, tucking her jacket around herself and just quietly looking out over the edge. With the Tour fast approaching, she knew she had to appreciate moments like this, when she could just think and be alone, quietly. Even if she was afforded a time like this in the coming months -- and that was unlikely -- it would be filmed, and shared with Peeta.
So right now, she just stayed still in the chill, appreciating her peace and quietly nudging little rocks off the edge of the rooftop, just to watch them fall.
[bored and making pies. open yay!]

He made sure to clear his throat to catch Katniss' attention when he saw her, since surprising someone standing on the edge of a rooftop wasn't very smart, even if he was sure he could catch her if she fell. "Hey, Katniss."

"Hello, Luke," she said, waving slightly. "What brings you up to the roof tonight?" She didn't go up there often, so she had no idea that she hadn't discovered the roof herself.

"Not a bad night up here," Bruce noted.

"No, it's not," Katniss agreed mildly, turning away from the view to raise a hand in a semi-wave. "You didn't join the exodus going home for the holiday, Bruce?"

"Katniss!" she greeted as she spotted her roommate. "Good evening."

Katniss was still sort of stretching for it, a bit. She'd had experience with the need to warm up before overeating.
