Third Floor Common Room [Thursday, Evening]

All her classes over for the week made it about the right time to start on the weekend, right? Effy figured that was about how it should go.

It was too fucking cold (and sugary) outside for her to want to be going anywhere far, though, so her food was coming to her. She'd almost, almost felt sorry for pulling the pizza guy out when she wasn't willing to leave the dorms herself. But then she remembered the only other options would actually involve her going out there, and... No thanks. Or her cooking. Also not a popular option.

A streak of selfishness prevailed there, and she felt no remorse whatsoever by the time she slouched back to pick at her pepperoni and watch (and silently mock) some dumb action movie she found flicking through the channels.

Every once in a while, she could just be a completely normal teenager.

[[Open common room. I'm cold and bored and more cold.]]

It took her Cloud about ten seconds after staring at the television before he reached the couch to shake his head. "I still don't get how people watch these things." Because someone with zero movie knowledge was the best critic, of course. He turned to Effy, still on his feet. "The explosions, maybe?"

Cloud might have had something to say about not being indestructible, but not even him was bulletproof. But delicate? Emotionally speaking, perhaps. Never.

"Aren't some of the students here indestructible? Maybe someone sneaked from another world and just likes to remember how it was back at home."

Cloud shrugged. "I'm just not ruling the chance out. Ever thought where all the ideas you see in books and television come from? It might be a stretch, I know. But if that's the excuse to make something so...unremarkable, then I'll take it." Because he couldn't believe that some people actually did it thinking they were fun or interesting.
