2nd Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening
The only reason that Dolf had picked this particular common room was because it was the first one, which meant more people might see it. He was worried about the amount of food they had left in all the fridges; it might keep them going for a few more days at the rate they went through it, but what if this went on for months?
So he'd taken it on himself to do a bit of optional rationing, because he knew he didn't exactly have the authority to tell everyone what to do. He'd gathered meat, and ham, and cheese, and bread, and gotten to work.
Sandwiches. Sandwiches made in the ancient calvinist Dutch tradition of no-more-than-two-slices-of-anything-and-make-sure-there's-only-one-ingredient. He set a large plate full of them down in the middle of the room.
Then he added a note. Please eat no more than three. If you eat some, don't take anything from the fridges tonight! Only you can help with food rationing!
It was possible he took this a little too seriously, even for an invasion. Blame it on the starving children.
... No, seriously. He'd seen a lot.

He had been planning to find some kind of frozen pizza. But seeing the sign, guilt kicked in and he hesitated, moving back towards the table to double check.
"... There's rationing?" The horror!

Yeah, of all the bad things that had crossed Chuck's mind being stranded in the dorms and surrounded by boggy labyrinth.... Running out of food was actually not one of them.
"... I don't think I'd do well with that." He'd sort of figured these cupboards were magic or something. They always seemed to be full!

"Maybe I should do the same with my floor's common room," Alex said. It was as good an idea as any and she had no idea how much food was up on the third floor.

"Third floor," she answered. If things weren't so bad, she might have even mentioned how it was the best in the dorms. It didn't seem appropriate, though.

A pause.
"You're at reserves, right? I'm Dolf." Which she probably already knew if she was at reserves, but it was polite, right? Right.

She could always add a little magic to the mix, if needed.
"Magic Reserves, yep," Alex nodded. "Nice to officially meet you Dolf," she added, her smile widening just a bit. And sure, she knew him from reserves but it was nice to talk with him one on one. "I'm Alex, from the third floor as you already know."

Or enough people, period. "Nevermind that things are really busy right now."
Would you like some coffee with that understatement, Dolf?

Way to be Alex.
"With people in general, come to think of it. And that's when things are normal," she added. Well, normal by Fandom's standards.

She wasn't that pessimistic.
