Third Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

So Kate had taken off again, after sulking around their room for a bit. Bobby didn't know what was going on with her, and he hadn't been particularly inclined to ask, as wrapped up as he was in his own issues.

Raven's party and Christmas shopping had been a great distraction, but with both of those things taken care of he was just sort of... drifting. Eventually that drifting led him to the common room, where he flipped through channels until he found Kris Kringle Overthrows Pluto*, and then rummaged through the cupboards until he found a couple bags of Oreos. Maybe that would work as a distraction.

"Going home for the holiday?" Bobby asked, trying his best not to resent that Alexander had that option.

"Not for the holiday so much as just to take advantage of the break," Alexander explained. "We don't celebrate these holidays you have here back home, but we're doing something belated my sister and my birthday, and there's always a bit of a winter festival to help kill the doldrums that the season can bring sometimes. And yourself?"

Well, a break was a holiday, right? Sort of. "My girlfriend's doing a bit of a thing, inviting some friends back to her place. I'd go home, but," he shrugged, "time moves weirdly there? It's probably the middle of summer there." That wasn't the only reason he wasn't going back, but it was a good enough one.

"That wouldn't be too bad, if that were the case," Alexander, in all his innocence, smiled a bit. "I do like the snow, but I miss the warmth of the more temperate seasons. I grew up in a land inexplicably near the desert, so I'm not always too used to the cold yet."

"Me and warm weather don't really get along," Bobby made a bit of a face. "I'd much rather be somewhere where it's cold and snowy... of course, Sookie lives in Louisiana which doesn't really get cold, generally. So I won't even get a properly wintery Christmas."
