William had no idea there was some sort of awards gala on the television tonight. And truth be told, even if he did know, it was unlikely that he'd be interested in such an event.

Instead, he flipped through the channels until he settled on a forensics documentary show. DNA analysis was fascinating stuff.

Well, it was. If you were a nerd.

"Oh, they certainly can. But a scientist shouldn't be interrogating witnesses and leading busts," Bruce said.

"I suppose you have a point," William conceded.

"It's possible that I've watched a few of those shows and have come out of the experience with strong opinions," Bruce said.

William had no doubt that Bruce's statement was, in reality, actually quite truthful. He suspected that in this instance, however, it was meant as a joke. "A regular trickster," William contributed in an effort to keep up the joke. "Oh, now that is something I should like to get a closer look at!" he added, leaning forward excitedly at the television.
