Fourth Floor Common Room | Friday Evening | 1/21

Elphaba Thropp was doing something she hoped no one would notice.

She was seated on a couch, purposefully watching the TV, having found a program about a Wizard of Science that was absolutely fascinating. Educational and entertaining! This would totally ruin her anti-TV street cred.

She even had popcorn. No butter, of course.

[ooc: Open common room!]

"Whoa, I haven't seen one of these since I was in elementary school," Ramona commented, wandering into the common room. She'd considered doing something with her Friday night, but walking around the dorms meant she might find someone as bored as she was. Or, in this case, some Mr. Wizard.

"No, Mr. Wizard's cool," Ramona replied, flopping on the couch and taking a handful of popcorn. "Are you like, crazy into science, or is this just shiny and new to you?"

It was a guess.

"Ramona, and thank you," she said with a little wave. "You...." She was going to say something about the girl's skin, because it was kind of neat, but maybe it wasn't makeup or anything. She was learning. So instead, she offered, "You look nice in green. I can't pull off that shade."

"I think it's kinda cool," Ramona said honestly, lifting a shoulder in a shrug and gesturing up to her hair. "I mean, I spend half my time trying not to look like everyone else, and you come by it...naturally?"

And silly Ramona just assumed she meant Australia, at least for the time being. "Yeah? How so? People being jerks? 'Cause I gotta say, there is a weird lack of that going on here. Almost everyone I've met is really freaking nice."
