Stables - Around noon

The cold clung to Faramir as he returned with Baru to the warm dormitory stables. Despite the chill, he had spent most of his morning out, needing the air and chill to numb thoughts of Gondor. He knew there was nothing to be ashamed of, being homesick was normal but it was rather pointless as were any further thoughts along that line. Boromir would have laughed and hit him over the head before dragging him off for a ride over the Pelennor fields.

So Faramir had done the nearest thing he could accomplish here and his heart did feel lighter as he set to grooming Baru, singing of Númenor as he set to the task.

"I'm not gonna stop working at it but yeah, sword in my hand is a much safer bet than a bow," he said, smiling. "I'll be less likely to hurt anyone that's on my side."

"Which is always much appreciated," Faramir agreed. "And you are very skilled with the blade. I fear I have forgotten its name."

"Riptide. And thanks," Percy said, pleased with that compliment. "I need to get back to training with it though. With the weird weather stuff lately, I've gotten distracted."

"I know what you mean. I attempt to get as much training in, but the task sometimes slips my mind or I get caught up in a book and forget about my intentions," Faramir admitted.

"Yeah, I don't have the books problem but I'll get caught up thinking or playing video games with my cousins or swimming in the pool," Percy agreed, nodding.

"It is sometimes easy to forget about your duties here," Faramir agreed. "What are video games?"

"Uh, have you been introduced to board games yet?" Percy asked before he confused poor Faramir even more.

"Such as chess?" Faramir asked, uncertain what Percy meant. It was quite possibly an answer in its own.

"Right, like chess," Percy said, nodding. "Video games are kind of like board games that are played electronically. It's not that simple but I don't want to confuse you too much. I don't always explain things that well."

And yet, it was too late as Faramir did look rather confused. "How does one play electronically?"

Percy chuckled. "Okay, what about a computer? You've been introduced to one of those, right?"
