First Floor Lobby, Monday Except For Class
There were flowers. Everywhere. Every time Wesley ran his hand through his hair to extricate the flowers, more would appear. All he was trying to do was sell flowers and Valentine's Day Dance tickets for the Student Council flower sale, and apparently there were just a gazillion flowers that wanted to participate in the sale. Because they were in his hair.
Oh, well.
At least they were flowers and not garbage, right?

Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Oh, and a very quiet human shaped person behind it. Easy to miss though.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Er," he said. "Can I help you?"
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Even sitting, the dog managed to hit about chest height on a tall man. Marvel was special, okay?
He held up a note for Wesley: What is the purpose of the flowers?
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Er, the, ah, the flowers for sale or the flowers around this general area?" Wesley asked as clarification.
Real quick thinker, this guy.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
One that was panting in Wesley's general direction, stubby little tail wagging against the floor as Blackagar wrote out his response.
The ones available for purchase. The others I would assume are meant as another oddity of the island.
Unless this was a really impressive advertisement, that is.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"They're for -- are you familiar with Valentine's Day?" Wes asked. "The Student Council is selling flowers in according with the holiday to raise money."
Raise money for what was anybody's guess. Suits for Barney, probably.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Blackagar nodded slowly, giving that all due thought before writing back:
Is it another celebration of rodent divination?
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Oh, right. Groundhog Day. Gotcha.
"Er, no," said Wes, doing his best to think of how to phrase it. Ordinarily he would say that it was a silly American greeting card holiday, but this year he had a girlfriend, so.
"It's, ah... I suppose it's meant to celebrate romance?" he tried. "Couples, and, ah, and... love, I suppose? And chocolate and flowers and such."
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Blackagar frowned, giving the dog an idle pat before he seemed to come to a conclusion on the matter.
Do you have red flowers? he wrote next. Because someone was thinking about flowers to match a certain giiiiiirl's hair.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Because he sensed that there would be questions about that, he held up one of each and pointed to the correct flower as he said its name.
Helpful, that.

Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Er," he said, looking from flower to flower. "I think girls generally seem to like roses? They do smell a bit better..."
He held the rose out as proof. Actually, the whole building kind of smelled like roses to him, what with the petals everywhere and whatnot.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Then took the rose to make sure the smell was the actual meaning behind that. Because really now. Really.
And yes, it did smell entirely like the rest of the dorms did at the moment. Which was a nice change from the stench of pollution and unnatural chemicals. That was what happened when you were from a magical city that was completely isolated from anything human for thousands upon thousands of years.
He nodded, tucking the rose under his arm in order to write back: And chocolate, you said?
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Well, yes," he said. "But we're not selling that here. Seems a bit of an oversight, but I'm sure you can find some elsewhere."
Great salesman, this guy.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Your assistance is appreciated, Blackagar, who was in no way in a red jumpsuit, wrote back with a faint smile. I do not believe my cousin would be pleased if I forgot.
...yeah, they were royalty in that old school way.
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Oh, you're quite welcome," he said. Yay, helpfulness!
Then, realizing that this discussion had left out one critical point: "So if you just give me her name, I'll make sure she receives the flowers on time on Valentine's Day."
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
Re: Buy Some Flowers From Wes
"Thank you!" he said brightly, pleased to have helped someone.
