Around The Deck, Sunday Afternoon [2.13]
SOMEHOW Emma seemed to have found a large pile of snow beside the deck. Perhaps it had been pushed there by a plow, or created by a snow-fairy (or mutant). Either way, it was perfect for making snowmen, a fort, and/or a snowball fight.
"Right," Emma said, looking over her assorted charges. She'd make a quickhandwavey trip to T&C to ensure everyone had appropriate cold-weather gear. "Remember, hats and coats stay on - I know it's warm, but it's not THAT warm - and no putting snow down another child's coat. I will place you in telepathic time-out if I catch you."
She brushed more snow off a chair on the deck, and threw a towel down before taking a seat. "Now go to it."

"How big can we make the snowman?" he asked. "Like, just a little big? Or super-big?"

....maaaaaaaaaaaybe wearing them out for bed later was the idea, but they didn't need to know that.

Even if Della had never met or heard of Auntie Emma before in her life. Aunt-Lady Karla had said she was a friend and that was good enough for Della. Though she was still a little shy and reserved. That was just her though.
So as Nommy and Kayla went and flung themselves into the snow, Della inched forward and asked, "Do you mind if we play here? I will help keep the other two out of mischief."

"See? Like Karla's friend Warren. Angels have big feathery white wings."
