Second Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

So, Ramona and Tony had had a bet. Or a dare. Whatever, same kind of thing. It had taken her entirely too long, but she had washed the dye out of her hair, and actually added a nice little brown sheen to it, but nevertheless, it was her natural color.

She thought it looked weird -- and not like her at all -- but whatever, she was the clear winner here. And why was that? Because of the boy in the towel.

Even if he was refusing to remove it. She knew what color his hair was under there. Which was why she'd dragged Tony out to the common room, to 'socialize.'

Look, even if Ramona preferred having her hair in pinks or turquoises or oranges or whatever, she knew she was going to get a lot less laughter thrown her way. And it was all his fault for (a) agreeing, and (b) letting her pick the color. Oh, Tony.

So she'd turned on the TV in an effort to pretend like she was doing something other than making fun of poor, innocent, pink-haired Tony, but really, she was keeping an eye on him to keep him from bolting, and on the door to see who would come to look.

[open common room is open! Ramona is a brunette for the time being, and Tony will have pink hair, yes. :)]

"Did you just take over one of the science labs?" Bruce asked.

"No, I found a place in town."

FROM WHICH TO FIGHT CRIME.

"Where? I've been looking to invest in some space myself," Bruce said. "And if your lab is secure enough to keep from finding out about the kids I'm intrigued."

"I heard about it on the radio," Tony added. "Just over in that warehouse district."

Underground, where people can't find it. Unless they're Black Panther and you BRING THEM THERE, TONY.

"They're renting those out now?" Bruce asked.

"I bought one." Totally did not.

"I'll have to look into that," Bruce said, suggesting that he would buy one for himself, but actually meaning checking in on whether or not Tony bought one because he totally didn't. "Thanks for the tip."

"It's more privacy, at least. And I miss having the room to work on my ideas."

"Not one for just jotting things down in a notebook?" Bruce asked.

Tony snorted. "Plans don't come alive until you actually start working on it. It's easier to find flaws that way too."

"I've experienced that once or twice," Bruce admitted.

Which was how he dropped himself from the rafters of one of the warehouses one night.

Twice in that night.

"Don't get me wrong, I plan things out extensively before trying them," Bruce said. "But you can't be positive how anything's going to work out until you have something to test."

"Which is why you need a lab big enough for those mistakes!" Riiiiight.
