Nathan wasn't smoking today. Nathan wasn't drinking or rolling a joint or doing anything illegal that would have gotten him arrested if he didn't live on an insane fucking island where crime seemed to be embraced or, at least, tolerated.

No, Nathan was standing up the lit campfire (it might have been too warm for that but what the hell, he wanted to use his lighter for something) and texting back and forth with Alisha. Why Alisha, he didn't know but she'd been the one who returned his first text.

Of course, the subject of their conversation wasn't very, well, normal. Proving that Alisha really didn't think of Nathan as a friend, she was actually texting him with challenges of jumping into the fire and testing out how long he could last if he avoided the whole stop, drop and roll thing. Nathan kept threatening to take that dare but man, that fire looked really fucking hot.

And then Alisha was calling him names, questioning his masculinity and telling him she was going to tell everyone else that he couldn't even stand a little heat. Nathan wondered what he'd get if he did take the dare, Alisha said she'd let him touch her and go with it and now Nathan was...still staring at the fire.

It just looked really fucking hot.

Not kicked him as hard and low as she should have, that's that she'd done. "Did I?" She'd also (thankfully) lost the inexplicable Australian accent she'd had over the weekend.

"Why do I know you?" Nathan asked, looking her up and down. The memory still wasn't coming to him and it was probably because it was associated with pain. "Did we go out or something?"

No, that wasn't it.

No matter what happened, Cara would never be that desperate. "I'd rather bathe in lye."

"Kinky," Nathan said, still staring at her to try and figure out how he knew her. "I like a little pain with my pleasure too. See, we could be great together."

"I doubt that." Cara let a hand drift down to brush against the agiels she wasn't even bothering to try to hide today. "Even if I wanted to, I don't think you'd like how I take my pleasure."

"Wait a minute," Nathan said as realization finally fucking dawned on him. "You're the goddamned bank! You're the one who couldn't shut up about her interest rates and how sad was I to realize that that wasn't a name for your rack?"

Now he'd realised that, maybe he'd leave her alone. "I'm not a bank. Or as good-tempered as she was."

There was a warning there, if only Nathan was willing to heed it.

"You kicked me!" Nathan accused, pointing a finger at her. "You kicked me because I thought you were some kind of whore but what was I supposed to think when you were like begging me for money?"

"You should be glad that's all I did," Cara told him in a dangerously calm and conversational voice. "If I'd been myself I'd probably have gelded you for that."

"I don't even know what that means," Nathan told her, shaking his head. "Gelded? Does that mean strip down and oil up?"

Oh, he could hope.

"It does involve stripping." Just not much else Nathan would enjoy.

"Oh yeah?" Nathan asked, raising an eyebrow. "Care to elaborate? My attention is totally yours, bank girl."

"To begin with, I can do it on my own but really it's something that works better with more than one Mord'Sith." Cara's voice lowered and she moved in closer to Nathan. Which should really have been yet another warning. "Two or three of my sisters would be ideal."

After all, someone had to pass her the knife.

"Oooh, sisters?" Oh, his brain was not even thinking of all the bad things this could lead to. He was just thinking of all the good things that could come of hot sisters. He'd never been in the middle of a sister sandwich before. "And would you and your sisters be wearing...nothing more than a smile?"

Oh, he could hope.

"Not yet." Which wasn't entirely a lie. You had to wash off afterwards. "But you'd be, a Mord'Sith on each arm." Holding him down so he couldn't struggle.

"And just what is a Mord'Sith?" Nathan wondered, giving her a lazy smile. "Sounds like some disease of the rectum. Not attractive at all. Is it some kind of kinky sex toy that I just don't know about? Because, honestly, that'd be a fucking rare discovery since I tend to know it all."

"The Mord'Sith are the sisters of the agiel." Years of training was the only thing keeping that a silken purr rather than through gritted teeth. Cara raised her eyebrows. "We're the ones who would be gelding you." If only. If. Only.

"So, do you and your sisters, do you guys ever get a little...freaky when there's no strapping young man around like me?" Nathan asked because he was a fucking idiot. "Nothing wrong with getting inappropriately close to someone you love. It's totally natural."

He was, and they had, but that was none of his business. "I thought you wanted to find out about gelding?" Which he was ever closer to discovering first hand. "I hadn't even gotten to the best part yet."

"Oh yeah?" Of course he still wanted to find out about gelding. The curious part of him was overwhelming the part that was giving off loud warning signs about Cara and her intentions. "What's the best part?"

He really should have listened to that part. Cara leant in even closer. "The best part is when I reach down, take hold of your cock, and then..."

Yeah, he really should have listened but when had Nathan done anything intelligent in his life? He didn't use his brain when he should have been using his brain. He thought with the wrong head.

"And..." Yeah, sounding eager was probably fucking stupid too.

"And then, I cut it off." Maybe Cara should have specified just who this was the best part for. "Heated blade, so you don't bleed out."

Nathan's grin turned into a look of pure horror. "That's fucking gelding? Why would any bloke with a brain in his head let you do that? You cut off a man's dick, you take away his identity!"

Cara's work here was done. "A man with a brain in his head wouldn't call a Mord'Sith a whore to begin with." Not where she could hear him.

And there were...people who would have been disappointed in her for that little performance, but it wasn't like any of them were here to tell her so.
