Shooting Range, Thursday Afternoon
Freddie was totally excited to get his big sibling onto iCarly, even if it was a pre-recorded segment. But at least this way, Wesley was protected from Sam.
Assuming Sam didn't find them at the shooting range, of course.
Freddie had his A/V cart with all his equipment, and his camera in his hands. All hummed to himself as he awaited Wesley's appearance. Unfortunately for Freddie, it was a Ginger Fox song that was stuck in his head.

Upon arriving at the shooting range, he found Freddie and hovered almost nervously. "Hello."
Never been filmed before, nope.

Probably not as camera-shy as him, that's for sure.

Because that seemed like it'd be a liiiittle boring on video.

"Interesting," Wesley said, smiling slightly. Yup, that would be cool to see destroyed. "Shall we?"

Aaagh, what else was there?
"Going to shoot this watermelon," he finished. Yeah, that was a good ending.

"Oh. I'm from southern Hampshire. Southampton, to be specific." Which would mean exactly nothing to someone who wasn't British, but okay. "I formerly attended the Watchers' Academy there before coming to Fandom."
And there had been a middle bit in between. Details.

"And before Wesley shoots the watermelon, we should make it very clear that this is being done by someone with lots of training, and he's going to take all the proper safety..." Freddie held up a finger and paused the recording.
"Are there more safety precautions we should be taking?" he asked.
no subject
"Oh! Yes, actually," he said hastily. "Goggles and earmuffs should be -- er, there." Sure enough, there was a bucket of them over by the entrance. He took two pairs of each and brought them back over, handing a pair of goggles and earmuffs to Freddie and donning the others himself. "It shouldn't be very loud, especially since there don't appear to be other people practicing in here, but still."

"And before Wesley shoots the watermelon, we should make it very clear that this is being done by someone with lots of training, and we're taking all the proper safety precautions. Do not try this at home, firearms are serious business, and again, do not try this at home."

"Right," Wesley said loudly, staring at the watermelon. This really wasn't a terribly difficult task -- anyone with halfway decent aim could manage it -- but this was for people's entertainment, so he wanted to make it look like serious business.
"Ready?" he called.

Just in Spanish.

Well, fortunately, Wesley spoke Spanish, so he took that as an indicator to plow right on ahead. Not dirty. Without further delay, he checked that his shot was lined up, then fired at the watermelon.
The result was an immediate explosion. Louder than expected, with bits of fruit flying everywhere.
It was... pretty awesome.

His instinct was to go check that the high-speed camera to replay the footage, but he wanted to get Wesley's reaction on camera first.
"Are you proud of that?" he asked, speaking loudly because of the ear protection.
no subject
"I suppose so," he said, grinning oddly. "I've certainly never shot fruit before."
Demons, yes, but he wasn't sure if that would endear him to the iCarly viewing audience.
no subject
"Oh. Oh this is so cool," he said, waving Wesley over. "You've got to see this."
no subject
"Huh," he said, intelligently.

As long as, you know, the Cheetos and pudding stayed far away.
