Second Floor Common Room [Evening]

Ramona had flung herself onto a couch in the common room, in the interest of actually being social. Now, granted, while she had the television tuned to reruns of Rescued by the Alarm -- because who didn't love reliving the early nineties? Such large phones! -- she did have her nose buried in a book as she kept half an ear on the TV.

Look, the last Barry Plodder movie was coming out in a matter of like, a week, and while she wasn't a super-fan or anything, she had to try and remember exactly what happened when those kids weren't just walking around in the woods all the time. That was all they seemed to do for like, half that book. So she was refreshing herself on the events that took place in the latter half of the book, because she didn't want to be caught off-guard again like she had when she saw the last movie and that cute goblin thing had bit it.

"Oh!" Miley blushed. "Miley Stewart."

Yeah, she was sort of in one of those hyper forget-to-say-her-name moods.

"Freddie Benson," he introduced as well. "It's nice to meet you, Miley. You spend time on movie sets, you said?"

Of course he had to be smart enough to pick up on that.

"Uh, yeah," she said, twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "I live in LA. So I know some people who are in, like, movies and stuff."

"Cool," Freddie said. "I've not been down there much, but I do kind of hope to some day direct movies. Assuming I can't just retire on my iCarly work, of course." He grinned.

"So is that what you want to do after school? Movies?"

Huh. She'd never given it a ton of thought, actually.

"I guess, yeah," she said, feeling shy for some reason. "I really wanna go to Standford with my friend Lilly, but after that... it'd be cool to be in movies, you know?" If her experience in Indiana Joannie had taught her anything, of course.

Then she grinned. "And to direct. Are you any good?"

"I do work on one of the most popular web shows," Freddie said, with a nonchalant shrug. "So I guess I'm pretty good. Haven't done much else, admittedly."

Huh. Miley pondered that.

"Well, do you think of yourself as, like, the next Spielberg, or more the kind-of-artsy-but-really-not-so-much auteur kind of guys?"
