Second Floor Common Room, Friday Afternoon

Karla had missed the newbie picnic, sadly, and so far her only real interaction with anyone new to the island was having one knock her over and then turn into a baby cheetah before she'd even gotten his name.

Or before she'd gotten the lunch he'd offered. Dammit.

But such a shameful state of affairs couldn't stand any longer. Today Karla had decided to get to know people a little better by heading over to the common room and do a bit of baking to celebrate the newbies surviving their first week of Fandom. Yesterday's mention of cupcakes on the radio had her interested in trying her hand at making some of her own; she'd already pretty much perfected cookies, after all.

Maybe she could offer a batch or two to the teachers of the cupcake class!

"You behave," she told the baby cheetah sternly. "You can run around, but be careful. I'm not replacing any of the lamps in this room, too."

Warren sighed, cramming his hands into his pockets and trying his best not to pout.

"You have no idea how lucky you are, Tony."

"Because my girlfriend appreciates video games?"
wwiii: (Mmmhmm :))

"Something like that."

Warren could be very cruel right now. He could. Now that Tony had all but proven that he'd never tried Karla's baking, and all, it wasn't like it would be difficult to just offer him one and get his revenge.

But this was Warren. He was too nice for that, by default.

"Maybe I could get Karla a Wii and that Cooking Mama game..."

Then she could put a hole in the TV while chopping zucchini, instead!

...Tony might cry if that happened. "I heard girls like that one dancing game too," Tony offered.

"That one?" Warren's eyebrows twitched up a little. "Which one?"

There were about a million!

Tony just rolled his eyes. "Let me know if you get her one and I'll find a copy."

Legally. Yes.

Ahem.

Billions of dollars between them, and these guys couldn't spend fifty dollars to get a legit copy of a video game.

Shame on them both.

"I'll make a point of it," Warren promised, smiling faintly. "Maybe a dancing game would help keep the cupboards a little more well-stocked around here."

Whole cloves. In the cupcakes.

"For more cupcakes?" HE DIDN'T KNOOOOOOOW.

"For better cupcakes." Made by someone else!

Tony took that moment to look more closely at what was being used in the preparation. "Is that tartar sauce?"
wwiii: (Serious Something)

"She couldn't find the cream of tartar," Warren replied, as if it was the most reasonable logic in the world. "You'll be happy to know that there isn't any garlic in the allspice today, though."
