The Deck; Friday Afternoon [ 07/22 ].

Maybe it was just the familiarity of the cold weather, which made him think of home, and therefor inspired him a great deal, but Butters was feeling very....entrepreneurial this morning. An idea had struck him, and he spent the earlier part of the day getting things all ready, which included putting together a little wooden stand, with a great big sign above it, painted with big letters and bright colors. And then came the important part, which involved a lot of milk, cocoa mix, and big ol' insulated drink dispensers.

HOT COCOA! ONLY 50 CENTS A CUP! BROUGHT TO YOU BY BUTTERS AND CO!

And then he was going to sit there with his hands around a cup of his own and wait to help keep people nice and toasty inside.

He wondered if he should charge anything more than fifty cents, but, really, couldn't bring himself to do it.

Chuck had put on a couple extra of layers of clothing just to come downstairs, so why anyone would be sitting outside in the cold, he really couldn't fathom. Poor little California boy, still wasn't quite accustomed to this kind of cold.

"Are you not finding your nose feels... not there?" he wondered from the doorway.

Chuck exhaled a laugh that puffed out a little cloud into the cold air. Maybe it was just him that had issues with nose warmth in these cold days.

"You know, giving these away kind of defeats the point of having a whole... stand." He said, not that saying that stopped him from stepping outside.

"That's... that's good to know." Chuck wasn't sure if seeming to need charity hot chocolate was supposed to be a good thing, or not. But it was being offered, and he wasn't going to turn that down, today of all days.

"You seem very, very used to this." If he'd been sat out here as long as Butters seemed to have been, he'd have been at the stage of chattering teeth by now. "You're not from Antarctica or anything, are you?" He was only half kidding.

Oh hey, that name was at least familiar. "I have actually heard of it." Chuck grinned, pleased to be able to say that time time around. "My little sib comes from there, assuming there isn't... more than one of it or anything. Fake little sib. Stan." Which reminded him he hadn't helped as much with the settling in for the poor little guy as he'd intended. "You two come here together?"

"Must have, right?" Because that was quite a coincidence otherwise. "You have no idea how many times I wished my best friend got sent away here too. I mean, I had my sister at first, and she's great, but-- Not quite the same." Ellie tended to fuss. She'd been acting parent a little too long already.

"..." It would be taking Chuck a few moments to formulate a response. "Um. Well, mine is... pretty okay?" Fortunately, they had the easiest and most functional sibling relationship possible. "Maybe a lack of braces and ugliness is all they need to turn out okay."

Not really? "Sure! ... I guess. I mean, I don't always get girls, which I think is normal, because movies would imply... that we're not supposed to. Most of the time."
