First Floor Rec Room, iCarly Broadcast, Friday Evening

Freddie was in mild panic mode. He had everything set-up properly, extra cameras on hand, extra lighting, tons of plates of cinnamon and sugared toast were about just so that Hannah Montana wouldn't be more than two steps away from some if she wanted any.

He was so ready for this, even if he didn't feel it.

"...who is this North Dakota lady, any way?" Gibby asked via the feed from Seattle.

"Gibby!" Carly barked.

"Whaaaaat?" Gibby protested. Hey, the poor kid didn't have cable. He didn't know these things.

"She's very important," Freddie told Gibby. "So be on your... best Gib-havior."

Freddie froze in absolute awe.

"...would you like some toast?" he finally offered, still staring in awe.

Miley offered Freddie a big smile, the kind that made it apparent that she was absolutely not judging him for his (well-deserved) fascination with her.

"Sure!" she said brightly. "You must be Freddie, am I right?"

Freddie nodded. "Yeah," he said. "I, uhhh, made some for you."

He quickly grabbed one of the plates and held it out. "It has sugar and cinnamon on it. I hope you like that."

"Are you kiddin' me? Cinnamon toast is only the best snack ever!" As proof, she took a slice from the plate and bit into it, nodding and smiling as she chewed. "That -- that is really good," she decided. "You make that a lot?"

Because if he did, she was totally coming into the common room as Miley one of these days to see if he was making any.

"Sometimes. If people want it," Freddie said, totally star-struck. "You really like it?"

He grinned. "Cause there's... more. If you need any. During the show or whenever."

Miley grinned. "I'll keep that in mind," she laughed. "Thanks, Freddie."

And then another big smile, just because.

Freddie finally managed to shake off the star-struckness and smiled back. "It's really great of you to do the show. Anything in particular you need set up?"

"Well, I brought a couple music tracks," Miley said, offering him a glittery pink flash drive. "And my mic, but I don't need a stand for it or anything. How long's the set?"

...Sorry, Freddie. She was used to really big-time gigs.

"Well, uhhh, we probably can make room for two songs, if you like," Freddie said. "We don't normally go super long on these things."

Oh.

Miley had kind of been thinking this was sort of a... music web show. Her brows furrowed slightly at this piece of news, but she tried not to show her surprise.

"Sure!" she said, shrugging easily. "In that case, I guess, do track... six and then track nine."

"Six and nine, got it," Freddie said, jotting a note down. "You gonna do anything especially iCarly-y for us, too?"

She... maybe hadn't actually watched the show, apart from the music acts.

"You're not familiar with the show?" Freddie said, sounding a little disappointed. "I would've thought that was why you were here. Uh. We're a little... different than your average show."

"Different... how?" Miley asked slowly, with a growing sense of trepidation. "I mean, I saw the Plain White T's concert. And the David Archuleta one. Is that, like, not what you usually do?"

"Well, sometimes," Freddie said. "After all, we've done some other musical stuff. But otherwise we're more... pathetic plays and covering Gibby in marinara and parmesan cheese."

"Cheese," Miley repeated flatly. Then she held up a hand, because she had a Very Important Question. "That's happening on the Seattle end, right?"

"Well, we're not doing the parmesan thing again," Freddie said. "But I take it this means you're not game for the more random part of our show. I'd talk to Sam about that."

Aw, well, she didn't want to be thought of as a flake or anything...

"No, no, I can do random!" she protested, then nodded to prove that she was serious. "You just caught me by surprise, is all. But I can totally do random things."

Unless it would jostle her wig. That was not allowed.
