Freddie was in mild panic mode. He had everything set-up properly, extra cameras on hand, extra lighting, tons of plates of cinnamon and sugared toast were about just so that Hannah Montana wouldn't be more than two steps away from some if she wanted any.

He was so ready for this, even if he didn't feel it.

"...who is this North Dakota lady, any way?" Gibby asked via the feed from Seattle.

"Gibby!" Carly barked.

"Whaaaaat?" Gibby protested. Hey, the poor kid didn't have cable. He didn't know these things.

"She's very important," Freddie told Gibby. "So be on your... best Gib-havior."

"Oh yeah! Nose Hair Weedwacker! We've . . . totally been meaning to play that!"

At least they had, until they got it every week. Then Sam had declared Jackson a nub and unworthy of iCarly air time.

Miley laughed. "Don't worry if you don't get around to it," she said, waving a hand. "It's pretty gross. Although I guess we should be grateful he's even trimming his nose hair at all," she reasoned.

Followed by a shudder. Jackson was so, so gross.

"Anyway, it's nice to meet you!"

Yeah, but it wasn't the right kind of gross. Sam loved gross stuff.

"You, too! We're all huge fans."

"Oh," said Gibby from the live Seattle feed. "That's Hannah Montana."

"-- Most of us are huge fans."

"Uh," Miley said, glancing at the screen and offering Gibby a little wave. "Hey, there."

"Hey," Gibby said flirtatiously. Sam rolled her eyes and stepped in front of the laptop.

"That's just Gibby," she said. "He's . . . just a Gibby."

"Getting that vibe," Miley laughed. "So! Vida was, like, totally sparing with the details, so -- what are we doin' today? One song? Two?"

Assorted torture?

"Sure!" Sam said, 'cause she was all about specifics. "Uh, how do you feel about water balloons filled with salad dressing?"

Miley blinked. Vida had definitely not mentioned any such thing, but then, Vida had only told her about the part where David Archuleta and Big Time Rush had appeared on this show in the past. Honestly, Miley wasn't even sure Vida had actually watched it -- maybe just seen its number of views.

"Well, uh," she said, waving a hand awkwardly. "That depends if I'm the one getting hit by them or, uh, throwing them."

Because the fibers in the wig would totally not appreciate creamy ranch.

"Could go either way, really." Sam could totally be flexible.

"I guess I could... maybe... throw some?"

Sigh.

Except then she got to picturing it.

"Wait, actually, that could be really cool!"

Sam grinned. "It totally would be. We do stuff like this all the time. Last week, we had a girl do a dramatic monologue while juggling tomatoes."

And doing both of which rather badly, but, hey, it was still entertaining.

Miley whistled. That was honestly impressive.

"You know, they do something just like that at the county fair back in Tennessee," she said, leaning forward in interest. "Except it's usually pig-calls, not monologues. How'd she do?"

"Terribly," Sam said happily. "It was really bad. Even her monkey thought so."

"Her monkey."

That was genuinely new to her, yes.

"Are you kiddin' me?"

"Nope. She said he was her twin brother."

Times like these, Sam loved this island.

OH. Brothers turning into animals. She actually had heard of that.

"...Interesting," she said, and gave a high-pitched little whistle. "Man. This place is so different from LA."

"Yep. No hobos named Hollywood hanging around, for one thing. Oh, and the ice age outside."

"Yeah. You do not see that in L.A.," Miley agreed emphatically.

"So, hey, when's the show supposed to start?"

"When Freddie goes 'in 5, 4, 3, 2. . . .'"

"Great!" Miley held up a flash drive. "I'll just go give my music to Freddie and wait over there 'till you get started!"

"Sounds good!" Pause. "Eeeeeeeeee!"

Yeah, she had to get just a bit more squeeing in.
