Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday Mid-Afternoon
[Subtitle:The Part of Marshall Wheeler Will Now Be Played By Sidney Crosby]
Marshall flopped down on the couch in front of the television, grabbing the remote and hitting play. It was time to watch, dissect, and criticise last night's game!
Not that his coach hadn't already reamed him out for that stupid, stupid play in the third period that almost lost them the game, but when you were the captain and star player, you carried that responsibility. No matter what secrets you were carrying, no matter what was weighing on your mind.
No matter how hard it was to keep your eyes off your teammates in the showers.
But! Now was not the time to think about that. Now was the time to sit down, watch last night's first period, and think about how awesome he'd been.
[Like this will surprise anyone. I thought about using hockey icons from Score!, but I couldn't resist recasting as Crosby. ;) ]

He'd turned to crime, to the streets and found a good albeit rough living there. He'd done amazingly awful things but he was alive and he was determined to be stronger when he went back and killed his entire family. Soon, though, soon.
Percy was plotting now, biding his time, and trying to find people easily manipulated to his will. He could use them and then drop them. It worked. That was how he worked now.
He came into the common room and his eyes fell on the other boy there. He brushed him off at first and went to find something to eat. Food had always been scarce on...THE STREETS<>/b>.

Not looking up meant not seeing if whoever it was was a cute boy.
[and I am on SP now; I've been asked to sit with my grandmother for a while, as she's not well.]
no subject
LIKE HIM.
"You make this?" he asked, holding up the container. "Not gonna make me sick, is it?"
[Not a worry! I'll be around all day!]
no subject
He glanced over his shoulder, just quickly before turning back, a mantra of 'Don't look, don't look' running through his head. I didn't notice anything, Marshall swore at himself. No looking at boys, that was his motto. That way lay bad things. Bad thoughts.
no subject
His parents had damaged him so badly. He would always blame them.
But, for now, he was taking the chicken salad and finding a place to sit. His eyes fell on the other boy for a longer appraisal. "Who're you? Never seen you before."
no subject
"Marshall Wheeler. I guess you don't follow hockey around here, huh?" He was kind of a Big Thing, after all. He looked at the other guy a little oddly. "Or, y'know, any kind of sports?"
no subject
His parents, his parents had caused this shift in attitude, given birth to this sociopathic person. They were forever to blame!
"I would say what's hockey but I'm not that dumb and I don't want you to lecture me about it," he added, shaking his head. "That your thing? Hockey?"
Percy gave him another long look over.
"I can see it."
no subject
A few moments later, Marshall realised he was staring and stammered, "Uh, uh, yeah, it's my thing. Team captain and everything, already got a scholarship and stuff."
As long as they never found out his TERRIBLE SECRET! No one would accept a gay hockey player!
no subject
Percy smiled slightly at Marshall's stammering. He couldn't place why but he hoped he might be getting to the other guy. "Scholarship, eh?"
That wasn't Percy's thing. Not at all.
"That mean you're gonna go pro? Make friends with a bunch of guys in dirty jocks? I bet that'll be fun."
no subject
And his secret burning desire to know the touch of another man.
no subject
He paused
for dramatic effectbefore leaning forward and smiling not very pleasantly."I could help you."
no subject
He leaned back a little, only partly to keep Percy out of his personal space. "Help me how?"
no subject
no subject
Marshall wasn't really sure which way was up right now. "I... I'm... I'm curious, yeah," he
overactedreplied. "What kind of fun?"no subject
His parents had made him into this. His parents! And he took that out onto everyone else whose came into contact with him.
"I can make it happen."
no subject
No. He couldn't. He couldn't. If anyone found out- "If anyone found out, I'd be off the team!" he blurted. "And if I can't play, my scholarship's gone, and my chance to go to college!"
no subject
Mwahahaha -- ahem.
"Found out what?" Percy asked, trying to sound like he was concerned. He could look and sound the part. "What are you hiding? I won't tell a soul."
no subject
His eyes darted around the common room, making absolutely certain there was no one else around. "That I'd never," he continued, dropping his voice, almost whispering, "tell anyone. That I..."
Marshall couldn't say it. (Or he'd forgotten his line.)
no subject
Percy leaned forward again, looking open and honest and vulnerable. It was a look he'd perfected. He knew how he looked when he looked like this. He smiled just a little at Marshall.
"Tell me," he asked, dropping his voice. "I bet I've been there. I can help. I can give you whatever you want."
no subject
His eyes flicked down,
in a moment of actual acting,to Percy's lips, as Marshall leaned in just a little further, unable to take that last step himself. His eyes flicked down again, looked longer, before coming back up to meet Percy's.no subject
"You wanna do something right now?" he asked, voice almost teasing now. He could tease and entice and see where that got him. "I bet you do. Why don't you do it?"
no subject
So Marshall leaned in just that little bit further, slow enough that Percy, if he wanted to, had more than enough time to move away from the kiss.
no subject
So, he didn't move away at all. He tilted his head the slightest bit and smiled, trying to look encouraging even if he was mentally celebrating inside for hooking another young one.
no subject
After a moment, he pulled away, gasping. "That was-" he started. "That- I don't even- I can't believe I did that."
no subject
"Why can't you believe it?" he asked, taking a cue from Marshall and staring at Marshall's lips. He even licked his own lips to tease Marshall. "It felt good, didn't it?"
no subject
He paused.
"Can we do that again?"
no subject
"Kissing's a good start though," he said, nodding. "Great start. You want something? Take it. Don't be so..."
Percy leaned forward again and breathed, "Scared."
no subject
At this point, Marshall would probably do anything Percy asked. Don't suppose you have a nice private place to go, Percy?
no subject
...and he hadn't even meant that thought dirtily. Well, not at first. Now, he definitely did. He kept kissing Marshall's sweet, sweet lips for several long moments before pulling back enough to talk.
"Wanna go somewhere else?" he asked, smirking smugly. "I gotta room."
no subject
But there was a whole new world just opened to him, and how could he pass that up?
"Let's go," he said, grinning. "It sounds like fun."
no subject
And later, well, later there'd be other things but Percy would save those for later. Yes. For now, they were going to his room and they were staying there.
For awhile.
