Fifth Floor Common Room, Saturday Mid-Afternoon

[Subtitle:The Part of Marshall Wheeler Will Now Be Played By Sidney Crosby]

Marshall flopped down on the couch in front of the television, grabbing the remote and hitting play. It was time to watch, dissect, and criticise last night's game!

Not that his coach hadn't already reamed him out for that stupid, stupid play in the third period that almost lost them the game, but when you were the captain and star player, you carried that responsibility. No matter what secrets you were carrying, no matter what was weighing on your mind.

No matter how hard it was to keep your eyes off your teammates in the showers.

But! Now was not the time to think about that. Now was the time to sit down, watch last night's first period, and think about how awesome he'd been.

[Like this will surprise anyone. I thought about using hockey icons from Score!, but I couldn't resist recasting as Crosby. ;) ]

Secrets must be going around because Percy had a few of his own. Did they line up with Marshall's secrets? Well, it wouldn't be a secret if he told. His secrets had led to him being cast out of his very well to do family and being cut off from everyone and everything he'd once loved.

He'd turned to crime, to the streets and found a good albeit rough living there. He'd done amazingly awful things but he was alive and he was determined to be stronger when he went back and killed his entire family. Soon, though, soon.

Percy was plotting now, biding his time, and trying to find people easily manipulated to his will. He could use them and then drop them. It worked. That was how he worked now.

He came into the common room and his eyes fell on the other boy there. He brushed him off at first and went to find something to eat. Food had always been scarce on...THE STREETS<>/b>.

"...thanks," Percy said slowly, not really used to people being that nice. The streets were a rough place, man. Rough and tumble and full of bad people.

LIKE HIM.

"You make this?" he asked, holding up the container. "Not gonna make me sick, is it?"

[Not a worry! I'll be around all day!]

"Good. Wouldn't wanna make myself sick and then have to take it out on you, would I?" he asked, laughing at that even if he was deadly serious. He'd learned the hard way that he had to make people afraid of him to get respect.

His parents had damaged him so badly. He would always blame them.

But, for now, he was taking the chicken salad and finding a place to sit. His eyes fell on the other boy for a longer appraisal. "Who're you? Never seen you before."

"I'm a little bit busy for that sort of thing," Percy said, almost scoffing at the thought of watching sports when he had so many other things to do.

His parents, his parents had caused this shift in attitude, given birth to this sociopathic person. They were forever to blame!

"I would say what's hockey but I'm not that dumb and I don't want you to lecture me about it," he added, shaking his head. "That your thing? Hockey?"

Percy gave him another long look over.

"I can see it."

There were SO MANY SECRETS in this room right now it was a wonder it didn't explode. That would have been even more drama than already was bursting around the island.

Percy smiled slightly at Marshall's stammering. He couldn't place why but he hoped he might be getting to the other guy. "Scholarship, eh?"

That wasn't Percy's thing. Not at all.

"That mean you're gonna go pro? Make friends with a bunch of guys in dirty jocks? I bet that'll be fun."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hockey's it for you?" Percy asked incredulously. He gave Marshall another look and shook his head, looking like he thought that was a sad, sad thing. "That's too bad. I bet you could be onto bigger and better things."

He paused for dramatic effect before leaning forward and smiling not very pleasantly.

"I could help you."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"I've got my ways," Percy said, smirking at the way Marshall leaned away from him. "You curious? I've got a lot of connections and I've had a lot of fun lately but I could use someone with your...look."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"What kinda fun do you want?" Percy asked almost silkily. It was a tone he used frequently on the streets to coerce those with less willpower into doing his bidding. It was how he became so well known and so feared by the street urchins.

His parents had made him into this. His parents! And he took that out onto everyone else whose came into contact with him.

"I can make it happen."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
There was the opening that Percy needed and he intended to press his advantage figuratively, at least. Perhaps literally, he'd do some pressing too.

Mwahahaha -- ahem.

"Found out what?" Percy asked, trying to sound like he was concerned. He could look and sound the part. "What are you hiding? I won't tell a soul."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Percy knew there were several things he could do right now. He just had to pick the one that would make this guy crack as he so obviously wanted to do.

Percy leaned forward again, looking open and honest and vulnerable. It was a look he'd perfected. He knew how he looked when he looked like this. He smiled just a little at Marshall.

"Tell me," he asked, dropping his voice. "I bet I've been there. I can help. I can give you whatever you want."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Percy hadn't missed where Marshall's eyes had gone. No, he had not and he was pretty damn sure he knew what secret Marshall was hiding. He smiled again but this time it was more mischievous and knowing.

"You wanna do something right now?" he asked, voice almost teasing now. He could tease and entice and see where that got him. "I bet you do. Why don't you do it?"

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
But why would Percy want to move away? He'd done this before, he knew how to do this extremely well and he liked doing things like this. He wasn't a rookie even if poor Marshall was.

So, he didn't move away at all. He tilted his head the slightest bit and smiled, trying to look encouraging even if he was mentally celebrating inside for hooking another young one.

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
At that, Percy smiled. Even if he'd done that before, getting kissed like that was always going to feel good. And knowing that Marshall was so young and pure made it even better.

"Why can't you believe it?" he asked, taking a cue from Marshall and staring at Marshall's lips. He even licked his own lips to tease Marshall. "It felt good, didn't it?"

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
"We can do whatever you want," Percy said, all smoothness and confidence now. He knew he had Marshall right where he wanted him and he intended to take full advantage of that.

"Kissing's a good start though," he said, nodding. "Great start. You want something? Take it. Don't be so..."

Percy leaned forward again and breathed, "Scared."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Percy had a place to go. He had a nice, single room with a big bed and a door that closed. He had all kinds of things in his drawers, in his wallet and in his pants...

...and he hadn't even meant that thought dirtily. Well, not at first. Now, he definitely did. He kept kissing Marshall's sweet, sweet lips for several long moments before pulling back enough to talk.

"Wanna go somewhere else?" he asked, smirking smugly. "I gotta room."

[identity profile] seaweed-demigod.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Excellent," Percy said, pushing himself to his feet and grabbing for Marshall's hand. He would gladly help open up Marshall's new world for him and he'd have some fun of his own too.

And later, well, later there'd be other things but Percy would save those for later. Yes. For now, they were going to his room and they were staying there.

For awhile.
