Fourth floor common room, Wednesday morning

Rapunzel was feeling pretty good this morning, and as part of that she was trying to get back into a regular routine. She'd gotten up early, tidied up her room, and almost immediately headed to the common room where she'd made a huge batch of muffins.

And now that said muffins were in the oven (and smelled positively delicious as they were baking!) Rapunzel had a moment to sit down and brush her hair. A few moments.

A lot of moments.

This could take a while.

Dolf blinked repeatedly at the little green thing. "...You have a gecko?"

Now Pascal looked truly, truly unimpressed. "Chameleon," Rapunzel corrected with a giggle. She reached up to gently tap at Pascal's foot with one finger. "And you know he didn't mean anything by that," she told him.

Dolf pulled a face that was a little apologetic. "Sorry, chameleon," he said. "I know, you can probably... do more stuff?"

While Rapunzel seemed amused by this attempt at a recovery, Pascal just kept that unimpressed expression.

"Actually," Rapunzel said, trying to step in and save Dolf, "Pascal is very talented!"

"Isn't that right?"

"He's a chameleon. I hear they have a lot of talents," Dolf said, recovering a little more. "Does he like muffins?"

Oh, muffins! Pascal perked up slightly. Were there muffins?

Not that he was impressed, Dolf! Don't get him wrong on that!

Just: muffins.

"And he can have some bread when it's done," Dolf said encouragingly, nodding at the rising mess up on the counter.

This was apparently acceptable since Pascal nodded and lowered his head to take a little nap. Or at least pretend to.

Rapunzel laughed. "That was pretty clever of you," she complimented Dolf.
