"Hey, guys," Petra said. "I didn't have time to make anything this week," because she'd been busy trying to keep her roommate from burning down the dorms. You were welcome. "So I picked up some stuff from the store." She gestured to the snacks table, where there were chips, pretzels, and Oreos.

"So, Parents Weekend is over and we all survived, yay, so let's just talk about how that went and our families this week, yeah? My family's been great, they're super-supportive, and we've had our problems but largely they've been money-related so, you know, who hasn't?" Aw, look at her making all light of it. "And my mom was really sick for a while, but she's better now. So I know that I'm really lucky to have them, and I'm not, like, bragging or anything, I'm just saying. That's my story. What's yours?"

Hanna grabbed a pretzel as she waited for the meeting to begin.

Raven nibbled on a pretzel, watching people as they arrived.

Mercy dropped off some brownies she'd made in case anyone wanted some.

Tara could never resist Oreos, though she was trying to eat them a little carefully so she didn't get that horrible Oreo black teeth effect.

"Oh, if there's any club business anyone wants to bring up, any fundraisers or ideas for activities, now would be the time."

Parents' Weekend is over and you all survived. Time to postmortem it. Or not.

"My parents couldn't make it," Hanna said, slight disappointment in her voice. "My mom had a good reason, so it's not like it was abandonment or anything."

The fact that she didn't mention her father might have spoke volumes. "But some of my friends visited and that was cool."

At least people showed up for her. That was something.

"My Aunt Ludmilla was here." Kenzi paused. "I can't get anyone's money back. Sorry."

"My family did not come," Raven said. "Which was probably for the best. But my boyfriend did, which was a very pleasant surprise." That last definitely brought a smile to her face.

Seifer kicked back with a soda and chips. "No one showed up for me. Which is a very good thing."

"Nobody came for me," Tara said. "But my mom's gone and I'm not exactly close to my dad, so ... not a big surprise."

She glanced to Hanna and added, lightly, "I did get to meet some other people's guests. That was cool."
