Fourth floor common room, Friday afternoon
A week of relative peace and quiet had been surprisingly good for Rapunzel. She'd spent the first day being sad that she hadn't gone on the trip and seen new places and spent time with her friends, but then she'd just relaxed. Which had been very, very good.
She hadn't really realized how stressful it had been being around so many people. After all, she liked people! They were nice and fun and great! But spending some time in the relatively peace of nearly-empty dorms turned out to be rather soothing.
Not that it interrupted Rapunzel's routine, really. It just made it... well, more routine. Fewer interruptions. She woke up early, tidied her corner of the room, wandered into the common room to do some baking, brushed her hair while things were in the oven...
And now that it was afternoon she was munching on some of the cookies she'd baked and curled up on the couch with a book.
