1st Floor Lobby- All Day (save for second period)

Annie had the very first shift in selling tickets this week, and she was manning the table today like nothing had happened over the last week or that radio had painted her as a vacation-ruiner. This was StuCo. Her personal life did not get to mess with that, thank you. She had tickets, and appropriate change, and of course there was the voting box for people to nominate their choices for homecoming court.

HOMECOMING 2011
BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE!!

Of course the sign was glittery. Expect no less.

Luke felt kind of stupid buying Homecoming tickets considering the crap he dealt with back home but he wanted to do something teenagery, dammit. Ignore the fact he was past 21 at this point.

"Hey, Annie," Luke said, giving her a smile. "How's it going?"

"Yeah. Or I'm buying a ticket anyway," Luke said, fishing his wallet out of his pocket. "Me actually going might depend on if I can remember how a tie works or not."

"Yep," he said, trying not to think too much about that. "Just let me find currency in here that's from this century."

Luke held up one very large gold coin. "Ancient Greek drachma. Use it to make phone calls."

That made sense. Of course it did.

"No, I was born in the 1980's in Connecticut," he said, putting the coin back and fishing out a couple dollars. "But my family is really, really connected with Ancient Greece."

"Count yourself lucky," Luke said as he handed her a few dollars. "But I'm sure your family is connected with someplace else. Everybody's is."

He didn't know where they made tiny enthusiastic girls with doe eyes. Perhaps the place the Sound of Music was set.

"Hey roomie," Jack said in greeting as he came back from his run, wiping some sweat from his forehead. "Quick question: How do you feel about dogs?"

The reason for that question soon became obvious as a grey furry dog (http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/iamgumboy/Irish_Wolfhound.jpg) trotted in behind Jack and then sat on his hind legs in a begging position while he wagged his tail at Annie.

Jack rolled his eyes. "Show off."

"Which brings me to another question: How would you feel about Lojack, here living with us until I can find a way to get him back home?" Jack asked.

Lojack dropped to a sitting position with a whine and scratched at Jack's leg.

"Oh, stop it," Jack said looking down the dog. "If I don't call them, Taggart will start tracking you down here. And if he shows up he'll never leave."

Lojack sighed and flopped down to the floor with a huff.

"No idea," Jack replied shaking his head. "He just showed up here randomly. Which actually isn't much of a shock with him. He has a mind of his own. And I mean that, literally."

"Sorry," Jack apologized. "He's not scary he's just... smarter than your average dog."

...

"Or person."

Lojack barked happily in agreement.

Jack sighed. "Pretty sure Lojack owns himself.and he's tolerating me for free food."

Lojack barked happily in agreement again.

And during Jack and Annie's conversation, Lojack moved forward to the table and picked up two tickets and walked over to Jack offering him the tickets in his mouth.

"No, Lojack. I'm not taking you to homecoming."

And then to Annie. "Maybe a bit too smart."
